Thanks: Gave 384, Got 251 | Didier Deschamps quits as Juve boss!
To say im suprised is an understaement, just got them back into Serie A and he walks.
Something must have happened in the background, either that or he is hoping for the Lyon job.

Houllier, Deschamps... Sven... all forming an orderly queue outside Maine Road are they not?

Juventus in Serie A (with a budget of 100million Euro) or Man City?
No brainer really.
It's been rumoured that the Juve board do not see Deschamps having the potential to successfully mount a serious challenge in Serie A next season.
Rumour has it that Fabio Cappello will take charge. (even if Real Madrid win La Liga he will probably still be shown the door...)
However, that's not to say that Deschamps will not end up at City but it certainly would not be because they are a more attractive option than the Bianconeri.
He's definitely gone due 'background' unrest.

If the rumours are true, maybe he didn't fancy having Frankie Lampard at Juve!

It really shows the 'hells kitchen' that managing in Italy is. If you manage one of the big four (AC, Juve, Inter, AS) then prepare to produce Serie A, the CL and or both within a year or................ out you go! English managers moan, but I would rather manage here or in Germany/France where you at least get a reasonable crack of the whip, whereas in the Latin countries even success doesn't save you with all the politics involved.
I wonder if he does fancy the Lyon job?

Next season will be (imho):
DD - at Lyon - not a big enough name for them I feel - they probably see Capello as the man to do it for them next year.
Houllier - Man City. There has been lot of betting on this for the last few weeks and apparently Manchester bookies stopped taking bets on it as well.
Capello - Juve, cos Madrid are ditching him 100% for sure. I also think he will take at least Emerson and Cannavaro back with him.
