The play-offs - who will make it?

Who do you want to win, them and who do you think will win them?

In order of play -

Div.2

Will win:- Bristol Rovers
Want to win:- Bristol Rovers

Div.1

Much tougher to call this one as both sides are on fire.

Will win:- Blackpool
Want to win:- Blackpool

Championship

Got a sneaking feeling about this one!

Will win:- Derby
Want to win:- WBA

Good point hunts. The support for Football in Bristol, despite the fact that both teams have bumped along in the bottom tiers ever since Citys Div.1 days in the late 70's, is phenomenal.

In particular as the SW is RU country really.

Unbelievable ,Bristol if united could probably fill a 40,000 stadium week in week out. Just think of the money it would generate? They could be pushing for a premiership place.

Good to see all the arm chair supporters come out for the big day out,

Re: The play-offs - who will make it?

Want Yeovil to win tomorrow, a real honest team that play attractive football, don't get that these days
They've come up from the conference against all the odds, and a real influence to all the teams stuck down there

Derby in the other one

Re: The play-offs - who will make it?

WBA tomorrow. Haven't seen much of Derby except for the semis, but I didn't think they looked to clever. We gave them a good game on the cup.

Hope Yeovil do it today, although I think Blackpool are the form side and that usually helps.

The Gas are up though so who cares about the rest.

And as for the armchair fans comment, I reckon most of the fans at Wembley yesterday had seen at least one other game this season

Bring on Leeds next season

Don't blame them really Hunts. I go to Division 3 (no, not the poxy 'League one' ) games myself, and it's not cheap to see teams with a level of talent I was once watching from the terraces at Kingstonians. Yes, it is that bad down there.

But then what do you expect, when from 10th down, the prem is of a standard that is roughly that of the old Div.2?

I don't need to tell you anything m8. Just supporting the club you do tells everyone all they need to know.......

.................I mean Spurs!!?

Who can call themselves 'knowledgeable about football' and support them?

Good call on the play-offs though.

However, I feel my prediction for next season will hold true. Derby looked poor for weeks, and didn't play that well in any of the play off matches. It's going to be a loooooooong hard season for the Rams.

The existing Premiership sides manage fine on their own in that respect

I don't think there is any point in doing a Prem prediction thread for next season. Or maybe let an yank do it. Then it may be mildly amusing

Phew, lucky you eh! The big guns being? Don't tell me, Utd, (well obviously!) Chelsea (err, ok........ ), Arsenal (if only they could score) and well, Liverpool. The latter two of course being about as consistent as an alcoholic's speech. Who are the rest then? Spurs, as long as they don't do one of their 'one good season, the next bad', and after that? Fat no-one.

Yes, the bar-codes are bigger than Blackpool, but they aren't much better!

The Premiership may be the holy grail for money (as we keep being reminded) but it's lost its charm completely in footballing terms.

What makes you laugh most of all, is what the hell point is there in making £60 million if your ambitions are as limited as every managers, bar Fergie, Mourinho, Wenger, Benitez, and possibly Jol's, are? I mean it says it all when managers are feted for finishing 17th and getting knocked out of every cup in sight in round one.......

Ambition? What's that mean then?

15 managers in the Premiership need to look it up...............
