Excellent signing for Man U.

You only had to see Gattuso's impact in the Milan v Utd game to see this is exactly the type of player they were missing. Scholes and Carrick are a bit too lightweight for some games.

All they need now is a striker that can play the other half of the season that Saha inevitably misses each year.

Just shows what a difference having a good International Tornament does to a players value :

6 million before World Cup

17 Million after World Cup

This is the same player that european scouts would have seen play for Bayern in his correct position to know he was a very capable player and not the player in the England shirt being played out of position(Sven eventually played him in his correct position in the World Cup) and could have saved a hell of amount of wonga.Oh well whats 11 million quid these days.

Agree, but we will see. Hargreaves was the best English player during the WC, hope he can emulate that again!

I can imagine times when 2 out of Scholes, Carrick and Hargreaves will play, retaining the formation for this season
