Ronaldo cheats his way to another victory

Yes, you heard me ! Christian Ronaldo is the biggest cheat in football and is a disgrace to the game.

When youve got that sort of talent, why cheat?

Well, I'll certainly sign your petition on that one... there's no one to touch him in the cheating stakes ... not even close!

If so look closer to home first. Drogba and Robben fall down like they have been sniped. If your a City supporter, at least he isnt trying to injure fellow professionals like Barton Thatcher and Ball do. Its funny how when a United player allegedly dives/cheats there is a furore about it. However it seems to be perfectly acceptable when Steven Gerrard takes a tumble whilst playing for England.

Re: Ronaldo cheats his way to another victory

I dont agree with Balls stomping, was way over the top and could have cost someone a season or their career (like Keane did, then admitted he did it on purpose. Should have been banned from the game permanently).

Both teams were cack, City should have possibly had 10 men after that stomping, Dickov was his usual mildly aggressive self, Ronaldo was his usual cheating self but ultimately Citys complete lack of skill, energy and shooting ability cost us another game. When you cant score from a dead ball 12 yards in front of the keeper, times are hard.

Forget the 'dive' how about Man City setting a new record of just 10 home goals in a season, lowest ever out of all the pro leagues.

Must be great watching them.

Oh, give over. People hate Utd because:-

1) It's one rule for them, another for everyone else.

2) Fergies whining gets on everyones pecks. Outside the football establishment that is.

3) Ronaldo my be the latest culprit, but Utd have a record of getting poor decisions - and no they don't 'balance out' over a season. If they did Utd wouldn't have won so much, so easily. Period.

4) Utds fans. Not all mind, but a large number are so arrogant they would fill a nun with the urge to stick one on them!

5) And finally, probably the biggest wind up of all, Utd, unlike Liverpool in the mid 70's and 80's can play football, and don't need to cheat. So, the fact they do just makes them look greedy and naffs people off even more.

There, I think that just about sums it up!

Re: Ronaldo cheats his way to another victory

Just another boring and predictable Cristiano Ronaldo attack

What about Ball's disgraceful and cowardly stamp? Totally bang out of order fuelled out of nothing other than jealousy. Doesn't that deserve a thread? Or Didier Drgoba going down like he's been shot in the head every 5 seconds during the CL semi. And for that matter what about when Didier was rolling around "injured" on the touchline? I thought to myself "roll him off!" Miraculously he made a quite stunning recovery each time in order to take his place on the field. Quite astonishing and if ever you need proof of a God,....

What, if I don't jump on the bandwagon and agree that Utd are a poor, hard donebye, much, and unfairly, maligned team, I'm talking Bks'!? Thank you madcyril for proving my point. Utd fans can dish it - but you can't take it.

If you can't accept that other people have differing views to Utd's and the Sky brigade on the newly annointed 'saint Ronnie' then don't look at the thread.

Makes me sick the way it's one rule for some fans, ie they are fully justified to comment that, 'Pires is a diving cheat', 'I love to see Arsenal lose' 'Mourinho and Wenger are whiners', but then if people turn it back on them they are 'talking crap'.

Give me a (well earned) break!

Oh and I agree LFC, Balls challenge was an utter disgrace. But hey, it seems what's good for the goose........

That's me totally off now.

Sorry, I know that you also mentioned that

I don't think I've proved any of your points. The same can be said for any fan.I myself will accept criticism where due,god knows I've criticised my own team and players as much as anyone over the last few years.Having views is one thing but some offered are just designed to wind up and people take the bait.

Very true but surely that applies to fans of all teams, not just UTD's.All the points made in your earlier post could be levelled at most football clubs/fans in the prem 1 way or another.

The thread title is somewhat inaccurate in my view.

Having listened to the game on 5live, I did not see the incidents, but certainly heard them.

You didn't miss much, I thought it was a dire game.

City should have been down to 10 men for the best part of the game following the thuggery by Michael Ball (I thought it was worse than the Thatcher tackle on Mendes)

The entire City team camped themselves in their own half and refused to come out for the first 45 mins.

Ball stuck his leg out in the box, Ronaldo went over it. I don't think there is a premiership player around that wouldn't have gone down.

Ronaldo showed his class with the penalty.

Who is it that can change the title of this thread?

One rule for united ?? you mean like the rules that were bent to allow you to sign macherano ? the same rules that were bent that let u back into the champs league the year after u had won it ? (when u didnt qualify high enough up the league).

and arent u contradicting urself a little bit here -

"And finally, probably the biggest wind up of all, Utd, unlike Liverpool in the mid 70's and 80's can play football, and don't need to cheat."

yet in another point u say -

"If they did Utd wouldn't have won so much, so easily. Period."

so maybe the fact that we play football at a higher level than most other teams, is WHY we have won titles so easily !!

When you cant score from a dead ball 12 yards in front of the keeper, times are hard.
fact of the matter is that city looked for excuses as to why they couldnt score/win.
city couldnt score in a brothel with a blank cheque in their hand, we even gave them a chance from 12 yards out and blew it, and the penalty was a joke, wes didnt even move his feet and ball went into him, and like they said in the studio ball, moved into brown therefore commiting the offence himself.
but u could see ronaldo was blatenly tripped but because it was 'ronaldo' it was a 'dive', dont talk bks.
and ball.. well hes going to be at the fa due to the ref not taking action, the guy should be banned, city watched gattuso stop ronaldo from playing and thought they would do the same...lesson city boys...your players arent gattuso, the guys class he made tackles he didnt take the player out each time thats the difference between class and pure rubbish.
city are where they are because the teams rubbish, i actually feel sorry for the city fans having a good crowd thats been let down all the time.
and we let our team down by?....losing in the semi final of the champions league?
well just the cup to go now we have won the league at eastlands.
