So what will Mourinho's excuse be this time?

Mourinho's bound to come up with a ridiculous excuse for letting Man Utd extend their lead in the league to 5 points, but what's it gonna be?

(The referee didn't give an obvious free kick refers to the Chelski - Bolton match)

Could be hayfever, the Stamford Bridge pitch looked freshly mown and there were definatley tears in the eye's of Chelsea players at the end of the match.

Re: So what will Mourinho's excuse be this time?

He can say whatever he wants but the fact remains he's not getting the title.

About time that muppet was brought down to earth!

I thought Wenger was a arrogant sod but Maureen has beaten that.

You can watch his post-match interview here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/c...bbram=1&bbwm=1

Penalty was brought up, going by his tone he is consigned to losing the title.

Re: So what will Mourinho's excuse be this time?

I don't think he can have any this time.

I am not a Man Utd fan (some would say I hate them) but I think as a neutral to the EPL they deserve to win it.

They play attacking football, and we should all recognise this and congratulate them for it. Chelsea play a more physical, direct and unstylish game (sorry Chelsea fans if that hurts - but its true).

Any team that can go 2 down and win 4-2 away from home surely has the bottle of champions. And nothing dodgy about them either - no suspect penalties for Utd, no ungiven ones at their end, no diving, no excuses.

Now come on Milan - lets put this Utd team in their place !!!!!

Trouble is, is that makes a refreshing change. While I quite agree Utd play the better football, and do deserve to win the leauge on that basis, there is however, a real whiff of hypocrisy in the air.

First, Utd do cheat, and way too often. Yes Ronaldo is 'better' this year, but better isn't good enough frankly. The shrill protests from Utd and their lackeys over Mourinhos comments smacked of, 'thou dost protest too much'.

Second, when Liverpool were grinding out championships playing identical football to Chelsea in the 70's and 80's we heard none of this hysteria from the media (and then the fans) about how their opponents deserved it 'more' because they played more attractive football! The opposite in fact. Even though, unarguably, they did.

Third, when Utd do badly, Fergie is the first to move into moan mode, he's attacked Wenger and others viciously in the past, yet Mourinho is held up as some sort of 'special case'.

Give me a BREAK!

Re: So what will Mourinho's excuse be this time?

Looks like the title belongs to Man U now. Shame my boys threw away a 2-0 lead.

I'm sure Mourinho will find some dodgy excuse to blame their loss on. But Fergie is exactly the same though. I would love to see a top level manager accept their teams loss with honesty rather than blame it on the pitch/ref/squirrel etc.
