Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

Just wondered who on the forums is entering the ballot on thefa.com to be able to purchase tickets to the England v Brazil game at Wembley?

I know England have hardly set the world on fire lately, but it would still be an experience to be at the first senior game at Wembley, and also to see Brazil in action.

Re: Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

I won't be, but I have two ticket stubs my dad kept from his only visits to the old Wembley.
He and his brothers went to the FA cup final in 1956, and paid 10/6 (52.5p) for each ticket. On the following Wednesday, they went again to see England play Brazil. The price? 2/6 (12.5 p). And they saw the basis of the side which won the world cup in 1958.
Kind of puts things in perspective, don't you think?

I'm an Englandfans member so would be able to get one, but I'm giving this a miss and going to the first competitive one against Israel.
The kickoff being on a Friday night is just not convenient without having the whole day off work

Re: Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

I'm not going to apply!
I've stopped supporting England (I just say that to myself LOL, obviosuly I still do) I'm just on a strike against them LOL! They are just sooo crap!

I want to hopefully go to the Israel, Russia or Estonia game. I really hope they go to ballot, or general sale!

Funny, I applied on behalf of me and my mate as a group, and he got an email today saying he was unsuccessful. But I've had nothing!

Yeah same here, anyone who chooses not to go let me know!

I got a single ticket for myself, not sure how many people went into the ballot though.

Roll on June 1st!!

Not bad really at £30 for the ticket.

Re: Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

The FA released extra tickets today first come first served for people who missed out in the ballot. And I actually managed to bag a pair this time!

Yes! Can't wait, should be a great day out.

I won one in the ballot but now can't get the time off work to fly over.

Shame as it might have been the only chance of me seeing the new Wembley - and with Brazil there too !!

I know that hunts1uk was after a spare if anyone decided not to go. I presume your winning ballot has expired now?

Re: Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

No I actually exercised my ballot, and paid for the ticket.

Was only after this that I found out I could not get the time off work.

My bro' is talking about going, and I know a guy in London who might want it. I'll post back if its still free after all this.

Re: Who is entering the ballot for England v Brazil tickets?

Just see on Sky Sports News that Gilberto, Ronaldinho and Kaka are all in the squad for the game. If both put teams put out their 1st team then it should be a great showpiece for the new stadium.

Yeah RMCF if you don't use your tickets then i'm sure you'll get some takers on the forum.
