Cricket World Cup 2007

Hadnt seen any mention of this for the past few days.

Just watching today and saw Bangladesh beat India which was a great result for them. And in a day of shocks its looking like the Irish Rugby fans could finally crack a smile on Paddys day as Ireland are on the verge of BEATING PAKISTAN - DOUBLE

That should be Pakistan out of the competition after only 2 games - so if your thought being an England fan was tough just spare a thought for the Pakistan players, the last time this happened they went home to crowds baying for there blood

Re: Cricket World Cup 2007

Very disappointed with India's performance today. When I saw the toss, I thought yup, Dravid's going to bowl first, but why did he choose to bat??? There was plenty of cloud-cover and they could've exploited that.

Pakistan have just lost too, so that's them out of it. What a World Cup it's been so far.

- Smiley is perfect for whats been a crazy day of cricket.

Happy St Patrick's Day Ireland. You have defied all odds. Hell even the Cricket World Cup 2007 Wall Chart I got with The Times had the Super Eights section already filled in! Well done indeed. Credit to Bangladesh as well, they will probably go through as well.

And now I shall sob because I don't have Sky Sports and I've missed it all

But BBC highlights are on soon

Re: Cricket World Cup 2007

Ireland have been the team to watch so far - their two games have just been fantastically tense and full of atmosphere. The way that they tied their game against Zimbabwe was awesome, after being so close to defeat.

Bravo to the Irish!

Re: Cricket World Cup 2007

What a poor peformance by India. Why on earth did they decide to bat first? Hopefully this will be a wake up call for them!

Bangladesh have a young team and they played very well.

After yesterdays complete annihilation of Bangladesh I can see England going all the way now, we do look rather unstoppable.

Working it out it looks quite straightforward.

We beat Bangladesh, Bangladesh beat South Africa, so therefore we must beat the useless South Africans. The useless South Africans battered the hopeless West Indies, so we must beat them too in our last game.

Semis here we come then.

Re: Cricket World Cup 2007

Foolish I know but I've lump £20 on England today. Won the toss, batting first, better bowling opinions...

2 for 37

I'd actually rather have Strauss & Pietersen in so let's hope they can build a decent partnership.

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

I've had to have a break from watching the drivel as i feel like smashing the telly. Vaughan has bought so much negativity to the team.

Hope they turn it round for you DJT75.

Freddie's in now. 112 for 4 off 33 overs, still only on for about 170 - ouch!
