I s Brian Ashton the right man?

to lead England out of the doldrums?I got a feeling that he is Very much his own man who will bring the best of league into the union game.Expect to see Farrel playing Robinson and maybe even Chev Walker. England will be exciting to watch again

Re: I s Brian Ashton the right man?

Here's hoping His record as a coach is excellent, but the thing that set England apart all those years go when they won the world Cup (Seems longer than the football win at the moment!) was Woodwards meticulous planning.

I would like to see Ashton through the 6-Nations and maybe bring in a Team Manager if they think it would help and could do it without destablising the set-up.

Would be great to see Chev playing, really what England need to bring a spark back in the backs.

Were not gonna win the World Cup, but at least we might be able to put up a genuine defense of it

maybe a semi final spot . I do hope Ashton puts a smile back on our faces. Its been a tough three years with Dimwit in charge- he should have stuck to being a forwards coach

Definately a possibility, I think we have been lucky with the groupings. England have as much chance of topping the pool as SA, which would likely have us playing Wales in the 1/4s. Then it would be France/Ireland in the Semis where England would be the underdogs but could progress.

A shot a NZ in the final and who knows
