Mourinho Apologises

Good grief.
Whats the world coming to.
Next we'll have Wenger admitting he did see one of his player foul someone, and Ferguson being nice to critical reporters.
Must be the Xmas season.

Andrew johnson is a diver but so is half the chelsea squad, I do wish that managers would stop defending these cheating players.

ive never actaully heard any manager defend a diver on their team. Mind you Jol did when Zokora took that dive saying he lost his balance well he said "Zokora told me he lost his balance"

Maybe they should ask the managers point black "your player dived there, what have you got to say about that?" but hey they wont do that because managers would stop talking to them. BBC sure wont fergie has not spoke to them for years now and 2 because of the bung thing dont either. Sky dare not push Mourinho to far or he wont speak to them for a few months like he did when they kept showing the essian tackle last year.

Personally I saw nothing wrong with what he said,Moyse cant half moan though not as much as Hughsey.

But all that card waving from him last night after Butts foul, now that was ****-poor from a manager, its bad enough from a player.

It is absolutely disgusting behaviour, the bloke is a F***WIT. It's bad enough having to witness his tedious goal celebration and constant moaning after each game without him starting that s**t aswell.

Waiting eagerly for things to finally start to go against him, it will happen at some point

Re: Mourinho Apologises

Must admit to not being overly impressed with the card-waving last night either - surprised that Robben didn't try a twist or two with that foul, he was in the air for long enough, all he did was kick out a leg in mid-air - poor histrionics for one normally so flamboyant

Another case of his reputation preceding him! ... He's a reformed character ain't he? Cut him some slack... he doesn't do diving anymore....

He's obnoxious and arrogant IMO. Sure some think its great for Tv and the press, but its all a little tiresome these days. I hope he doesn't win the CL as he'd be unbearable...as would Chelsea.

No probs with all the money and the players its bought, but show some humility and class Jose.

Re: Mourinho Apologises

League Managers' Association chief executive John Barnwell has warned Jose Mourinho that his card-waving antics at Newcastle were 'unacceptable.'
At one point in Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final, Mourinho waved an imaginary card in the air in an apparent attempt to get Nicky Butt booked.
And Barnwell told The Sun: "Jose's actions were unacceptable but if it had been done in an aggressive manner I would have been more upset."
Barnwell has been pleased with campaigns aimed at stopping players from raising pretend cards at officials, but he believes managers have to lead by example.
"We have almost eradicated players waving imaginary cards because that was something which was totally unacceptable," he explained.
"Glenn Roeder defused the situation very well after the match and they both shook hands."
Barnwell also declared that some of the general criticism directed at Mourinho was unfair.
"Jose is a very emotional man and sometimes the reactions to him can be over the top."

And if a manager was critical of their player, the diving prima dona would probably throw a hissy fit and not talk to their manager again either!

He already has - with Porto. He has nothing to prove. I doubt very much Chelsea or their fans could get as carried away as the Liverpool fans did after the 2005 CL win.

Humility and class? What like Paisley, Dalglish, Graham (some of the old moaners ) Ferguson, Wenger, et al? That won't be much of a trial for him then.........

If Mourinho made the same comments from the Utd and Liverpool dugouts/post match conferences his comments would receive sycophantic approval. As he's the manager of 'johnny come lately' Chelsea he doesn't.

Or, as Ferguson does, snub them altogether.
