Man Utd Supposed Press Conference at 4.00 pm

I have heard on Radio Scotland that their is supposed to be press conference at 4.00pm at Old Trafford. Alex Ferguson and Marcello Lippi are supposed to be appearing together. Are these reports true ?

If so, it raises question about Ferguson's future tenure at the club.

It was also mentioned on a few other radio stations, It maybe he gets a back room post or maybe announcing some charity match.

I believe that Lippi might have a background job for the club. The only problem in my opinion, is that I don't see Lippi being any other manager's No2, for any long period of time.

Lippi is meant to be waiting on the current Valencia manager to get the boot - which could happen very soon!!

He is too good a coach to be anybodys No.2.

It looks like Lippi will be the manager of a Euro select against Man Utd to signify 50 years of the EU. David Beckham will be playing against Man Utd for the Euro Select.

To be honest I couldn't really see Ferguson having anyone like Lippi as a No 2, because he would feel he would have to watch his back. I also get the impression that Lippi would not take to being Ferguson's No 2 either.
