Copy+paste of my post in Liverpool thread |
Not even funny we have Arsenal for the Carling Cup quarters and now the FA Cup third round
I suppose Liverpool are now challenging on 1 front this season, lol... and cue a difficult CL draw|
Man Utd v Villa should be interesting, ditto Pompey v Wigan. Cardiff may or may not give Spurs a good game

I was watching the 'draw' with the boy, and as soon as Liverpool were drawn at home I said 'Arsenal' before Kahn even pulled it out of the pot. Utd at home to Villa, Chelsea at home against 'minnow's, Tottenham at top of the Championship Cardiff in yet another 'TV game'. Ah, the beeb and Sky must be licking their lips...........
Isn't it funny how many times now we get 'big' teams drawn against each other in both cups in the same season whereas that hardly ever happened in the past.
Some good draws for the minnows though.

Last visit was very enjoyable, very friendly natives. Poor result though. Can see police having this fixture changed anyway.

Oh well, four matches this season against the Scouse - possibly more if we meet in the Champions League as well |

Looks like we'll be laying on the cabaret, showgirls, and Erasure as half-time entertainment for the visit of Brighton then
If we hadn't had so much fun in this competition last year I would, at the moment, consider getting knocked out at the first hurdle quite a decent result!
Cardiff vs Tottenham stands out for me, although Cardiff have gone a little downhill recently...
My money is on Birmingham vs Newcastle to provide the round's shock
