Christiano Ronaldo.

Cheat.

Don't get me wrong, Man U beat us at a canter yesterday. I felt they could knock it up
a gear and score whenever they pleased, as in straight after our equaliser.

The game in general however, must get rid of all this cheating.
OK he conned the ref, goal stands.
And also, when he put his leg into Boateng and dived for a free kick.
What's wrong with a panel analysing the incidents
and giving him a six game ban for cheating. It will soon stop.

Sounds good to me. Utd were in a different class to Boro, but seeing a strapping six footer like Ronaldo consistently go down easier than Linda Lovelace is a sight the English football can do without.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

It really is a shame to see it. The kid is a fantastic footballer, and he gave us a torrid
time yesterday, but we are all remembering him for the wrong reasons.

Count me out.... I could watch that particular one trick pony again and again and again.... blast, the tape's knackered!

Despicable antics..... certain players in my own team were up to it last year and it was disgusting and embarassing then and even worse now, coming from him. You would have thought that after the WC, he would be getting his head down (LL tape fixed - yay) and concentrating on football....he's just laughing at us. Then again, his manager seems to condone the behaviour...why am I not surprised?

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

as a utd fan - i do agree with the above - he is a class act and on his day can be one of the best in the world. he has no need for the diving.

For the "penalty" (clearly no contact) i think he was expecting the touch from the keeper, didn't get it (was already on the way down )and then tried to flick the ball to rooney. Watching his reaction when he was on the floor (he doesn't appeal for the penalty) i think he is a bit embrassed!!!

Not making excuses for him as it was never a penalty

Talking Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

That dive in my opinion cost Boro a point, although Man Utd had plenty of possesion, they did not convert it into chances. Not the only blatant dive to get a penalty for Utd this season.

I agree that Man Utd were the better side on the day. Christiano Ronaldo really frustrates me as their is no doubt that he has fantastic ability. His diving antics make it hard for me to rate him as a player. I also believe that he has more natural ability than Rooney has.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

I have to disagree with you there gosties. They beat us easily.
For me, the best players on the pitch, were Vidic, Rooney, and Scholes by a mile.
The work off the ball that Rooney did, was unbelievable. Scholes though, was something else.
If United didn't get the pena, they would have scored through open play.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

Funny thing, before that match Ronaldo had pretty much elimenated the diving from his game. (Before CFC mentions the Chelsea match, HE WAS FOULED BY COLE REPEATEDLY) United weren't the only ones looking for penalty's too though, Christies nudge of the ball by Ferdinand anyone? the amount of hand ball appeals was rather funny too. But yeah, not one of our most convincing wins.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

Thats why its a funny old game utd always struggle away at Boro was nice to see a win. I think saturday was a day for some doggy refs in general. The Arsenal Game! Just the two penaltys!

Regarding Ronaldo if and when he stays on his feet he will be a far better player than what he is.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

If Ronaldo dived for a penalty , he certainly didn't appeal for it . Neither did Rooney who played on . He did dive over Boateng tho

It certainly didn't look like he flung himself to the floor like he usually does when diving lol.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

Great players don't need to cheat, and those who do MUST be thrown out of the game.

I'm amazed when I get told "it's a man's game", and in the next breath I'm told "there was contact so he is entitled to go down".

Anyone who condones such antics has no interest in sport. But then football and sport are two completely different things these days.

It would be impossible to make one team out of the whole of the premiership from players who don't cheat when they think they can get away with it.

Scum, the lot of them. They have destroyed something I once loved. I still love football- It's the players I can't stand.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo.

I heard a good chant at the match about Ronaldo, some guy in the south stand was singing "she said no, she said no, she said no.....etc"

Winds me up too. The player should only go down when he can no longer stand up - pretty simple really...
