Hi, I'm a big fan of R.L. and used to play.
What are peoples favourite teams?
Do you play R.L?
Are you interested/looking forward to the Tri-nations final and World Cup?
Who's your favourite player?
What do you think of the rules?
Shame there isn't more interest in he game in the south of England.

Ok, I'll start.....
My fav team is Brisbane Broncos
I used to play fifth-eighth and winger
Looking forward to both, shame the world cup isn't more often
The rules are good currently and fair I think
I found it difficult to find any clubs near where I live

This is the reason the Brits are so pants at rugby league, as no one gives a S**T about the game at all. There is simply no interest in the game and no new young fresh players. No wonder GB don't win any major touraments.
Sorry my moan is over.
MODS feel free to close this thread, with thanks

Must be too many "Soft Southerners" on the forum! I tried a Super League thread ( Here) at the beginning of the last season and that thread also went down very quickly with no response.
Altough I prefer Union, I am a big RL fan. Gutted about the Tri Nations result. I think Aus should wrap that up in the final but how GB arent there I do not know

Being from halifax in west yorks ,rugby league is part of the culture here in this small town as it is in most yorks and lancs towns .Used to watch halifax quite a bit in the 80's and 90's but since the drop down to the lower league the price to watch them play is prohibitive ,i also watch lufc aswell so can't afford to got to both .
I used to play RL when i was at school and was asked to play for siddal but didn,t bother and played footy instead.
The tri nations is now over for GB again ,very irritating ,i do believe we'll never catch the aussie's ,their basic skill levels are always higher than the brits ,they can go from one side of the field to the other in a blink of an eye ,GB on the other hand are too slow and ponderous.
Plus the aussie's are just bigger than our lads ,more up for it in the tackle ,i mean keith senoir drinks in our local and he's a big lad ,but when he goes over there he just gets battered ,we don't pump the legs in the tackle like the ausssie's do .
As for the rule's ,at the moment the rule's are fine ,its just the interpretation by the aussie ref's that gets on my nerves ,holding down at the play the ball by both the NZ and aussie teams in both recent tests spoiled the game a little .
In my view though thats the point when southern hemisphere teams come over they are welcomed with open arms ,when the lads go over there its very intimidating and unwelcoming ,putting pressure on visiting teams .
Us brits are just too nice to win anything .

TRI-NATIONS FINAL tomorrow....
Australia vs New Zealand
Anyone going to watch it? I think it should be a great game as both teams are playing well.

Although both teams could and should have wrapped the game up way before the final whistle and subsequent extra time "golden point".
I did enjoy it when Willie Mason came on towards the last 20 mins of the game and steam rollered the Kiwi guy and knocked him clean out. Did you see the state of his face! Although he gets a lot of stick I do love it when Willie pummles the opposition!

Do you follow RL then? | Yeh love it, being an avid follower of RL for about 3 seasons now.
Got completely BORED with the MEN? who play football now and found my saviour in a game played by the rules, with action and discipline.
I also like to watch RU and equally enjoy the two variants but if I was to be honest I think the RL is a slighty better game.
