GB Lions beat the roos

Great Britain beat the Australians this morning in Sydney for the first time in about 13 years. A superb performance against the best rugby team in the world.

Re: GB Lions beat the roos

Wonder if the Aussies will be mouthing off about how bad our amateurish games is ahead of the next game! I dont know, first if was McGrath predicting 5-0 in the Cricket last year (what was that Glenn ), now the Rugby League players predicting Cricket scores, will the Aussies ever learn

A great game and some great performances from the GB guys.

(BTW, anyone else want to see a Morley/Mason scuff )

Re: GB Lions beat the roos

G'day! Ok so I have to admit a dissapointing result for me (I'm Australian), but I did enjoy the game and good on GB for winning, as they were the better team on the day. We played poor in comparison.

It would be interesting and good viewing to see how NZ react to this result as the pressure must be on them to win next week.

Who? You mean Australia vs RSA or NZ vs RSA. Do you mean Rugby Union?

It's going to be a tough old game with NZ gunning for a win to have any chance of remaining in the competition.

Ideally GB need to beat NZ on saturday because AUS are the best RL international side in the world and they also do not want to lose face in the rematch against GB a week on Saturday.

Can't fikk'n wait!

Re: GB Lions beat the roos

I also hope GB beat NZ and get in the final as it will be good for the game of RL here. I think if NZ get in the final, people in GB will lose interest, obviously.

With NZ losing 2 points, and GB already winning a game, I can't see how GB cannot get into the final, unless of-course they lose both coming games.
