Im a fustrated man Utd fan, even more fustrated now.

these 2 young argies would of been great at united, replacement for keane and ruud.

And rossi going to newcastle on loan what is fergie doing, we only have 2 fit strikers now.

where are west ham gonna get the £20m+ fee for tevez from.They only bought him a couple of years ago for that, it's not as if he has gone down hill.

I heard on talk sport that they're both signing for pompey, so that must be true too!

going to be loads of speculation and false rumours today, i wont believe a single deal until i see the pictures in the paper tomorrow.

A Sports investment Company call MSI own the rights for the 2 players. I believe its a loan deal with a view to some sort of deal with MSI. I dont think they will be a 100% west ham player.

MSI have some sort of relationship with Roman Abramovich.

I'm not that fussed with Tevez however Mascherano is a fantastic player; he'd be a real coup for any club!

If skysports were a reliable source then pompey would have about 130 players on the books by now....

They'll print any rumour they get a sniff of and in some cases i reckon they just plain make it up..... i dont take anything they say too serious to be honest.

but back on topic... if they do go to west ham then i think it can only be good for the league as a whole.... We need stronger competition to keep the league interesting.... its been all about the top 3 or 4 teams every year for as long as i can remember... about time a few other teams start to muscle in on the top spots i reckon. I still dont see it being anyone but chelsea/utd/liverpool for the outright title, but i can see a lot more teams making it hard for them this season compared to previous years...

Don't get me wrong, astonishing double-signing if we pull it off, but we all know what the final day of the transfer window is like, and much like is said above I'll believe it when they're paraded tomorrow, before then I'll get happy at the speculation (it wasn't so long ago we were losing 1-0 at Rotherham), and take it with a grain or two of salt

According to Sky it is a 12 season long loan deal for both players, and this information has come from Tevez's own website.

As a Man U fan I'm gutted, but all the Hammers will be well chuffed.

Hmmm... I'd like to think as captain that Reo-Coker would stay, with Mullins the more likely candidate to move on.

But if they are loan deals then I see no reason why anyone should move on, we've got our first European campaign in a long while and if we have a half-decent run we'll need a good-sized squad, especially as we're suffering a bit with injuries (as opposed to last season where we were VERY fortunate with injuries).

I wonder what other speculation the last day of the window will throw up today?

this is all VERY strange. I can't (for "can't", read "don't want") to believe that United would let rossi go on loan without having a definite new striker in place.

Surely Mascherano and Tevez would have been ideal signings?

to be honest I can't wait for midnight tonight when all this ridiculous speculation can finally end and we can get back to normal life. Unfortunately I have a horrible feeling that we'll get there and United still won't have signed anyone else...

(please let me be proved wrong)

Yep, that's what all this could be - another set of players being groomed for Chelsea. Can they make it in the Premiership (I'm sure they both will), and if they do...it's a permanent transfer to Chelsea next season.

It had to happen now due to Tevez' growing frustration with Corinthians (a place where he and Mascherano have never truly been accepted becaue of their nationality - and they both know it). They come as a pair as well to help them settle in together.

In my opinion, and I've seen them both play extensivly on the TV (and we all ssaw them in the World Cup), Tevez is an unbleivable player - he is the Argie Wayne Rooney, and absolute fantastic talent. Mascherano does his job extrememly well, and is also highly talented (despite him being very, very dirty at times - a yellow card magnet). Both have the strengh, ability to take the Premiership by storm - but have they got the attitude? That's what Roman wants to find out I suppose.

What a team West Ham could have with these two.

I applaud the efforts of West ham. Against my team, they lacked a killer touch. Had these two been playing instead of Bowyer and Harewood at crucial moments, the Hammers would have easily won

Again, rumour has it that we're holding a press conference at around lunchtime to make the announcements...

Thing is apparently MSI is bankrolled by a former colleague of Abramovich, but they are now not exactly best friends - so the grooming for Chelsea thing could also be off the mark. Also the West vs East London thing could turn into full-blown Russian Mafia warfare!

Still, nothing confirmed officially.

You've gotta ask yourselves now...did MSI really fail with their takeover of West Ham? Or has there been something in the pipeline since then.

No-one knows where MSI get their money from, it is indeed from Eastern European millionaires (as said by their own President)- one of whom has been done for fraud and money fiddling. Add to that, the company was registered in London, they have been constantly linked with Roman Abramovich and have failed in a bid for West Ham before...it all sound very dodgy.

I firmly believe both players will end up at Chelsea next season. Both players are on a reported one year loan at a London club with no direct conflict to Chelsea (i.e not top 4) and are almost guaranteed first team football. At the end of the year they will be settled in the capital, have a years Premiership football and Chelsea will snap them up for a cut-price fee. Expect to see more of this in the future.

Still, if West Ham get the players.

Also, I heard Reo-Coker is on his way to Arsenal today.

It's a relevant question - it was said a while ago that a loan deal had already been done for someone big, but it never materialised and if all goes ahead it's strange that it'll be on the last day of the window!

As for Reo-Coker, I'd honestly be gutted if he was a sacrifice to be made - with the club effectively showing the most ambition ever, now would not be the time to walk, in my opinion.

Its all down to MSI that they are going to west ham, Tevez is a close friend with Hienze and a Man Utd fan, he famously wore a Utd shirt when he sighned for corinthians 2 years ago.

Maybe MSI are a silent shareholder?

Dont know about MSI being a silent shareholder at the hammers but Abramovich has links with them and is partners with the Corinthians owner. Its a year long loan so they will be at chelsea start of 07/08 season.
