Football Kits - Getting Better?

What do we think of our clubs' current kits, and which ones in recent times do we think were most stylish/garish?

Re: Football Kits - Getting Better?

This season seems to be a bit 'retro' with Liverpool and Manchester United going quite old-school in their kits. I don't much like many of the new Premiership kits this season as, unlike previous years, they don't seem too design-oriented and are somewhat bland. I also don't think the sponsors help. AIG on the Man Utd. kit looks God-awful.

Re: Football Kits - Getting Better?

I think our kits are getting worse. Reebok don't seem to realise that the best selling size of kit is always XL and to make a figure hugging shirt is not a good idea for most football fans. The collar is ridiculously low, too.

And another thing, last season we have a blue home kit and dark blue away kit. This season, a blue home kit and black away kit. Works well except when we have to play Chelsea, Reading, Wigan, Blackburn and a bizarre third (yellow) kit appears - that is then released as a limited edition of 500 shirts to the public. Are Reebok mad? City's away shirt should be red and black stripes - make a good one and they will sell more than messing about with 2nd and 3rd shirts that last one year

Re: Football Kits - Getting Better?

I honestly think the Man United shirt is completely hideous.

Arsenal's shirt, on the other hand, is wonderful.

I love the new Liverpool home kit! Not so sure on the yellow away one though. Very happy we have switched to adidas. Bring back the old times!!

Re: Football Kits - Getting Better?

I think this season's pompey kit is the best we've had in years.

Its similar to the one from the season we came up, but with some nice touches like a smaller collar and the badge being central.

All in all i'm pretty happy with our kit after the last couple which werent great.

Errea are exactly the same size wise. I'm usually an XL and had to get a XXXL just to get into it last season and it is still figure hugging. Needless to say I didn't bother with this seasons, as there Errea's again. A mate of mine did stump up for one though, he's usually a Medium and had to get XL

When you're paying £40 a chuck as well, they wonder why people shy away from buying them every year... just look around the terraces, they'll find the answer.

Re: Football Kits - Getting Better?

I wish West Ham would go back to a light blue away shirt - it's the way it should be, reverse the home shirt... always liked the old-style shirt, no collar, light blue shirt, two claret bands round the middle.

And I want a proper badge, not an ironed on one - sort it out Reebok
