I like that .... Newcastle with a 100% record ..... after one game.

United are the only team to win away as well...

Good start.
It was a while before Chelsea lost their first game last season IIRC.

Cudicini has been on the bench too long for Chelsea.

He has ost it big time...he doesn't do many things wrong, but he's got that Kirkland thingof just letting goals in now.

Once Cech is back....the entire Chelsea defence will improve (England Captain John Terry has been terrible though lately).

Will TheSpecialNeedsOne continue to try and fit square pegs into round holes? Lampard and Ballack? No.

If the table opens up and some of the mid-to-lower table sides get some balls and actually go at the bigger teams, then it'll make for a really entertaining season.

But two games does not a season make, I just hope you're right DJT...

If at the end of next month there's 1-2 wins seperating the top 8....the PL may become interesting again!

Chelski looked all over the place last night and didnt once look secure at the back all game, and i still feel they have a right job on there hands accomadating Ballack alongside Lampard in the middle as i cant see both them plying central as they both like to bomb on ..but at the end of the day couldnt give a monkeys A**e about Chelski, just glad to see the wheels are woblling even if it is for only for a wee bit.

As for us thought we were brilliant after the first 15 mins and Charlton were lucky it wasnt 6 or 7 goals against them tonight the way we peppered there goal..also have to mention Fletchers performance and O,Shea thought they were both superb tonight and we now have graet pace through out the team even without wonderboy Rooney and it was nice to see Carrick settling in like hes always been there.

Chelsea were poor.

We are suffering from injuries at the moment, but it's no excuse for poor performances.

Hopefully when Cech is back, or when Carlo decides to start saving shot's we'll be alot stronger.

Still it's only 2 games played, we might go the rest of the season without a defeat.

There has to be more competition this season, the like of Portsmouth & West Ham will do well IMO & then even the likes of Watford could finish top 12. They've played superbly in 2 games & only got 1 point from them, their luck will change.

We had an off day....that's all.
Talk of the wheels coming off is premature. Once we win at Blackburn at the weekend, get Cech and Joey Cole back after the International break, it will be business as usual....

Hey, 2 seasons ago at Ewood, they tried to kick us off the park, but we gave as good as we got and walked away with the points to boot!

I'm talking about tough-tackling, not petulant kicking out (looking at you, Lumpard), or attempting to amputate a fellow pro's leg (looking at you, Essien).

Anyhoo, I wonder what odds on a Lucas Neill red card?

So if anyone wants a cheap prawn sandwich approaching it's eat-by date there should be 102 left down at Stamford Bridge...

And if it had been any other team apart from Chelski, the Community Shield would have had a full house as well!

Anyway, Re Chelski losing;

Not a chance!

Reports have it that the Chelsea dressing room was packed, when both Sheva & Ballack dressed up in Lederhosen, delighted the squad and backroom staff with a thrilling rendition of a traditional Ukraine/Germanic folksong as part of their Chelsea initiation ceremony.

What's all this Chelsea were poor crap. They were outplayed and outfought
right across the pitch last night. But it's OK, we don't need credit off anyone.

Is it correct, that's the first time under Mourinho, that Chelsea have taken the
lead, and lost?

What, with Utd cracking in 8 goals already, against rank, premiership no-hopers, and looking like replacing Chelsea as runaways?!

Is that supposed to be 'out of the ordinary'? Hardly.

When Utd lose a few, Chelsea lose a few more, and those two, plus Liverpool and Arsenal slip behind a few of the lesser lights then we are talking out of the ordinary. Is that likely - in this universe? No.

Until it does, it's more like 'business as usual' in Englands ever predictable premiership.
