Should have been deadly Doug. He must be the only chairman in English football to have lost manager after manager that's brought success, yet still clung on to his job. The fiasco over Ron Saunders would have done it for me if I was a Villa fan.
Not only did he win two leauge cups (Villas first success since the 50's), he won Villas first title in the modern era in style, and with a team that looked capable of, and did, bring European success. Albeit not in the fashion Ron would have done it.........
Deadly Doug Ellis, loved by millions - of Wolves, Brum, WBA fans that is!

I thought Doug would have waited out O'Leary's contract rather than paying out to get rid of him sooner. Hopefully he'll release some cash to attract O'Neil, unlikely I know.
O'Leary did have to go though, some of his signing have been very poor value, not only have they played less than a handful of games each they have/or looking to leave for a lot less than we brought them for.

Agreed, but if the chairman wouldn't give him the cash..........
You know what they say, if you pays peanuts you gets monkeys.

So, do you think it was O'leary behind this 'plot' to get Ellis out?
That man is corrupt (O'leary).
