20-20 Cricket-Sky Sports 1

Change of sport for awhile......anyone-else been watching the 20 20 on sky sports(yes HD aswell ) went to see Surrey v Middlesex on friday at the Oval for a taster, first time for a 20 20 game, very entertaining, played at a great rate of knots. On TV again tonight, fingers crossed that Kent (my prefered team)make it to quarter final, then i might just go again go on give a go..........

I went to see Warks at home to Worcs last Friday which was quite an exciting high scoring game plus a last ball finish.

I've also watched a few on TV including my "preferred" team of Durham making a real pig's ear of it against Derbys but almost pulling it off thanks to a superb knock from Phil "Colonel" Mustard which again went down to the last ball.

Dougie Brown in the commentary box has been a real find for Sky as he seems to be both articulate and incisive. Let's hope that we hear more of him.

Fabulous version of the game. It's a shame the competition almost seems to finish as quick as it starts. They should maybe spread the games out more and show more live. I certainly wouldn't want to be a bowler during the onslaughts.

I went to Glamorgan Glous on Monday which was a decent game despite the Drizzle...............I am considering going to see the 40 40 games, Glamorgan tickets were £12 for 20/20 and are £15 for 40/40 how does that compare?

Thanks

I must of missed every mention of a 40-40 game. Is that a 40 overs a side game (daft question really). Didn't the old Sunday league used be 40 overs a side?

If you went to watch an Essex victory then nice one apologies if following Yorkshire !!! My brother-in-law and me decided to travel up to Leicester to watch Kent last night......seemed a good idea at the time. Lovely weather, sell out crowd, only 1 down side, we lost Seemed a much longer journey home than going up there !!!! Oh well always next year....

Went down last night (packed house practically) of 12K at Trent Bridge to see Notts hammer, yes HAMMER Northants.

Very impressive.

What was not impressive was at the end of the evening they guy comes on the loudspeaker saying Notts have been allocated 1600 seats for the finals day.

These seats go to members first so the general public will not get tickets.

4 teams, 1600 each (possibly??) = 6400 when the capacity is over 12K.

Something either don't add up here or i'm missing something

You're missing Corporate Hospitality which is much more important to the ECB than cricket fans are.

I know exactly what you mean......same happened at this years FA Cup Final, even though I am (was now ) a club member, I was told that there was no-way I was ever going to get a ticket...only allocated 23,500 for a ground that holds over 70,000+.....surely should have been over 35,000 to each club.....but no, corporate hospitality won the day

Anyway congrats to you on making the finals day domtheone could always watch it in HD

Well I figured as much as that but 1600 x 4 (let's assume) is 6400. Practically half the ground capacity.

To leave 50% for the corporate do gooders etc etc beggers belief.

Unfortunately I don't have Sky HD Shane

Did indeed go supporting Essex - what a good game - and a six to win in the last over...

Apparantly Notts say the rest of the tickets have been sold out for months...

I think you will find that most of the members got offered their 20-20 final tickets at the start of the season at additional cost to their season/corporate package. My brother-in-law bought 3 ages ago for him and his two sons - bonus to them that the Outlaws have made it to the 20-20 Finals!
