So Peter Taylor walks out on us to go to Palace

I could have understood it if he went to Charlton in the Premiership but Palace are in the same division as Hull...and a smaller club (in my opinion). Coupled with football's version of Simon Cowell who holds the purse strings there and I don't think he'll have the job for long...BIG MISTAKE...

...and to top it all off it looks like we're going to get Mick McCarthy as his replacement...

That's a little unfair....to Cowell

Regarding McCarthy, he is proven at Championship level?

Yeah...how come they aren't banging Ian Holloway's door down to give him the job?

Steve Maclaren used to play for Hull didn't he? He should be available in a few months

I used to watch Peter Taylor from the terraces when he played for Palace. Don't forget that he already knows at least three of the players as they are in the Under 19 team that he managed.

I may be biased but I'm not sure how you can believe that Hull are a bigger club than Palace but you are right about Simon Jordan being an odd chairman as not only did he chase away Iain Dowie but he was also responsible for ensuring that Steve Coppell left the club too.

Yeah, I just feel a bit bitter about it...when he turned down Charlton he said "my heart is with Hull" and then two weeks later he's gone...one thing's for sure...I don't think he'll ge a round of applause when Palace come to the KC...if he'd have gone to Charlton it would have been a different story.

I think you're right Ian. Taylor was a Palace man (he never looked as good at Spurs) and it's no surprise he's gone back. I can understand Hull fans frustration, in particular if McCarthy goes there, but you can see his point.

Now "they" are talking about getting in the Doncaster Rovers manager...nothing like pushing the boat out is there!

Looks like it's Phil Parkinson from Colchester now. Resigned yesterday and set for the KC. Not quite the name the fans were looking for. McCarthy would have done a job, he took Sunderland up after all.

The Colchester guy may yet go to PNE though...Either way I was woried that PT might poach some of our best players but most of them just signed new contracts so he'll have to pay now...

They've got plenty of cash from selling Johnson to Everton. So they've got the cash to pay! Not sure who he'd want apart from Myhill though.
