World Cup Spread Bet - Booyaka

I found a decent spread bet last night & wondered if anyone else thought it was worth a punt. I remember Booyaka got into his spreadbetting a little while ago.

The bet: Total number of punches from goalkeepers in the tournament.
The Spread: 101-106

Now, with this new ball & loads of European, African, S.American keepers all perfering a punch to a catch - surely they'll be more than 106 punches in 64 games?!?! I'm thinking nearer 200 & an aveage of at least 3 per game.

What do you think - good deal? I surely can't be less than 101!

Can you look up any stats from opta index for the premiership? I think it may be close but I'd agree with you.

Agree, that looks to be worth a punt. Especially with Jens Lehman around - just as likely to punch a defender...

Another value bet is Costa Rica at 17-1 against Germany on Betfair. Yes, its a longshot to actually happen but 17-1 is ridiculous. Senegal were 11-1 to beat France in the opening game 4 years ago - I made a nice little earner there. Cameroon beat the Argies in the opening game a few years back. Upsets often happen in the opening game...

I agree that sounds like a very low amount... Does it include punches not aimed at the ball? Lehmann is due a freak-out soon, surely, and Rooney might persuade him to throw a swing or two?

How about penality shoot-outs? Do punched saves during those count?

would doubt it - 90mins only - no extra time normally.

Can;t see that bet on IGindex but could be a good shout.

Also - only 3.5 - 4.5 own goals for the 4 matches - sounds like a good one.

after 7 mins of the Czech game yesterday the spread on the first corner for the czechs was 39.5 - 42 mins!!!

Thought that that was a bit ott as they dominated the opening 7 mins including the goal.

Lumped on £2 a point hoping for an early corner but it only came in the 32 min!! not to impressed but still a slight win.

There has been loads of early goals and after yesterday loads of late goals so will have a view at todays spreads but 38-41 mins for first goal from either side in the FRance game and the South Korea game looks like a sell from me - early goals seem to be the thing of the tournament so far.

For those that asked, the goalkeeper punch spread was for all clenched fist contact with the ball, 2 hand or 2 hands. Applies to all parts of the 90 mins game, inlcuding pens tajen in that time.

However, the spread is doomed cos there's been hardly any so far. I didn 't get on but a few wealthy friends of mine did at £100.00 per point (between 4 of them). At the moment they are losing hatfuls & looking to get out to cut their loses. Luckily if was not my recommendation.

ouchy!!!!

Makes my £2 a minute seem really boring!!!

There has been very few punches indeed - still very tempted for early goals in all the games today.

So far WC spread betting has made a £4.20 profit!! (lost a few quid on shirt numbers of the Argi's scorers)

Will keep updating any spread for info.

sold korea's 2nd goal @ 75 mins (hoping for early goals) @ 50p a minute.

Also sold the first booking of the game @ 32 mins @ 50p a minute.

Graham poll will be out to impress and will hopefully flash some early cards!

will be heading home during the france game and don't like not see the action i am betting on!

Only bet i have had is

Total shirt numbers of the french scorers @ 50p per point. Currently set @ 20 starting. Max loss therefore is only £10 if no frenchie scores.

Hopefully henry and ribery the new guy (shirt number 22) will score a couple !!
