| | Guest | Can England win the World Cup?
Simple question really - yes or no?
Saw an article in the Radio Times yesterday by John (Motty) Motson who reckons that Italy will win it...knows a thing or two about football does Motty, but Italy??
When you click your answer in the poll, bear in mind that if England do make it through, Brazil will probably await in the semi final...as the old saying goes, if we are going to win, we will have to beat the best...

My heart says Yes but my head says No. I don't think Sven has the right tactics against the better clubs.

I believe its my patriotic duty to follow our team into the world cup with nothing but blind faith.
Then your exit bender is more justified |

Of course they can win the world cup. They have some top world class players in the squad.
The main obstacle will be Sven's barmy formations |

Well of course they can. Meaning no disrespect, Trinidad and Tobago could. The question is whether they will lol
Hope not though

We definatly can win the world cup, I don't think we are favourites though, but certainly have the talent to go all the way. will we perform at the right time?, will we have the bit of luck you need? Only time will tell but I'm extreamly excited to find out.
Come on England!

Every chance.
To my mind, only Brazil are outright better. And in a one-off game, anything can happen.
I have my money on at 10-1.

I think if Greece can win the European championship, then England can defiantly win the world cup.
We have a secret weapon.

Can England win the World Cup - yes. They have a team good enough to do it, but as others have said its how they play in that 'big' game on the day.
The last few major championships have shown us that the so-called 'big' teams are not as good as they think they are if you get at them.
But the question on the poll said 'Will they win it', and I voted 'No'.

Did the question change, or did I not read it properly? I could have sworn it was "can". Maybe I was reading the subject and not the question. Anyway, it's too late now.
