Has anyone else been watching the TT on Men And Motors ?
Some great footage from the onboard cameras, I'm frightened just watching it

dont have men and motors. Thik its on bbc this week (in NI anyway)

Fantastic racing. North west is the big road race in NI and its fantastic ive been to it the last 6 years.
200mph a foot away from lampposts madness! but great!

yup,its a wonderfull but dangerous circuit,raced there seven times myself,but not at those speeds!(looooong time ago)http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/4...01small1ek.png

yup thats me in 1972 first lap of practice at quarter bridge,the rear tyre was old and hard and didnt grip too well,lucky for me it happened there and not at the next bend as i was only doing around 50mph and the next one was 80!mph.
i remember the front brake lever was a bit loose so a kind st johns man wrapped sticky plaster around it !so i could complete the lap,wich i did as i needed it to qualify.

my last race there was in 1977 on a 250 yamaha top speed=130.
today they are doing over 200 mph,god kn ows how they do it,i got the crap scared out of me a few times on the yamaha wich had a tendencey to sieze up!
