Which team(s) do you NOT want to win the WC?

For me it has to be Italy because of their perenially boring catenaccio system and , of course , Germany. They have consistently won or reached finals by playing a very boring although efficient style of football.

Apart from that I shall be hoping for a few shocks like the last WC ( France/ Italy getting beaten by "lesser" sides)

Brazil ,for me ,love there football ,wouldn't it be great if we could beat them ,hopefully we'll meet later on ,excellent attackers ,but really poor defensively.
But if all goes to plan either the czechs or italians could knock them out.

Another vote for the Germans.

Hopefully an entertaining side wins it, but tbh I can't see that happening as has been proved in previous tournaments.

Another vote for Germany. Effective, but dull. Also their shameful play acting in 90' brought a dismal close to a reasonable tournie. Sadly, they seem booked to do well once again despite serious deficencies.

Italy are another. Can be superb, but far too often are cyncial and dull. Them to win - no thanks!

Brazil I love to watch, but three wins out of four? Boring.

Anyone else I'm happy to cheer on.

Another vote for England, but only because if we did win Sven would go down in history as a legend when all he has done is bluff his way through his reign and whore himself at every available worthwhile job going.

No worries my friend.

Maybe if I can convince myself its the players and not the manager that win the cup I can be more supportive.

If we're not going to win it, then it can't be anyone except Brazil who lift the trophy... If it is, we'll get 4 more years of "that was our big chance..." "if only we'd beaten x" "we're better than them, they got an easy draw!" etc, etc...

Sorry, but it has to be England for me. I'm Irish, give me a break !!

As for who I'd like to see win it - whoever plays the most entertaining football will do. And thats usually Brazil.

But I'd be really happy to see Spain do it - it would lift a massive weight from the country's shoulders. They have always had the players to do it, but never the stomach.

They won the CL and the UEFA Cup this season. Do good things come in 3's ?

Yes thats my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

Yeah quite a few people over here would cheer on England, but you have to remember that most support an EPL team all their lives anyway.

And that Holland top - awful. Worst ever (and away bad as well). Admittedly they had good ones in the past. Plus the stadiums always look the part when there is orange everywhere. Wouldn't actually mind Holland winning it as they have the same reasons as Spain.

Dn't worry, England will never win the WC and i'll bet my life and my kid's life on it!!
They just dn't possess enough flair or lack the balls when it matters, be it the management side(Turnips anyone?) or the countless penalty losses over the years and the shambolic surrender to 10-man Brazil 4 years ago and I challenge anyone who hasn't seen the mars advert(if you have, god help you!) to say something otherwise.

Its not the orange, its the style. Like something from the 50s.

Talking of Holland I see they drew 1 - 1 with the Aussies earlier. Viduka missed a penalty too - must have been worried about dropping his handful of pies.
