Svens parting gift
Watched the match tonight and, yes it was a B international friendly World Cup Warm-up try-out practice match in which they scored a jammy goal, but....................is the future of England in the hands of some kind of team from Gullivers Travels with Croch being Gulliver and everyone else no taller than 5' 5" and from that place I can't be bothered to look up.
And Joe Cole gets a 9.5 from me

Talking of laughing, did you see the senior players on the bench when Jenas scored??
I think they had a sweepstake running, and it looks like Terry won about £20K !!

Hi there
I just hope he takes Hargreaves with him when he goes. Now that will be a good parting gift.
Cheers Holo

LGS, will you ever stick by an England team when they have a wobble? Or do you always jump ship when the going gets tough?

Maybe we`ll just do an what Italy usually do. Start slow, then come good in the latter stages. I bloody hope so anyway.

Remember when Joe Cole used to 'play' football.....now he spends 95% of the time diving around like a man who has just been shot in the back

Ditto.
Yes, England don't do well in warm ups (and it was a 'B' game) but some of them were just scarey! Sven has no tactical nous, at least if he has it's been well hidden during his tenure, and any success will be down to the players. If so, we could be in big trouble!
Having said that, we have a group that shouldn't trouble them, and at least the usual Q/F is achievable, Rooney or no Rooney.
