Svens parting gift

Watched the match tonight and, yes it was a B international friendly World Cup Warm-up try-out practice match in which they scored a jammy goal, but....................is the future of England in the hands of some kind of team from Gullivers Travels with Croch being Gulliver and everyone else no taller than 5' 5" and from that place I can't be bothered to look up.
And Joe Cole gets a 9.5 from me

Talking of laughing, did you see the senior players on the bench when Jenas scored??

I think they had a sweepstake running, and it looks like Terry won about £20K !!

Hi there

I just hope he takes Hargreaves with him when he goes. Now that will be a good parting gift.

Cheers Holo

LGS, will you ever stick by an England team when they have a wobble? Or do you always jump ship when the going gets tough?

Maybe we`ll just do an what Italy usually do. Start slow, then come good in the latter stages. I bloody hope so anyway.

Ditto.

Yes, England don't do well in warm ups (and it was a 'B' game) but some of them were just scarey! Sven has no tactical nous, at least if he has it's been well hidden during his tenure, and any success will be down to the players. If so, we could be in big trouble!

Having said that, we have a group that shouldn't trouble them, and at least the usual Q/F is achievable, Rooney or no Rooney.

I thought lennon was outstanding ,took a bit of a kicking as well, other than that nothing else happened of any note .

I like sven but i don't understand why he keeps picking hargreaves though ,phil neville is a much safer utility player if thats what he wants .

Roll on the world cup

Come on guys, less of the negativity !!

The main reasons for last night's game was a) give the players coming back from injury a chance to improve their sharpness, and b) give the younger squad members a taste of what its like to play for England.

I for one would much rather have my first international in a low-pressure friendly game than in a World Cup second round against Germany !!

Come on England !

bit more than embarrasing losing to a ten man Belorussian side which is not much better then Andorra at home Still it is only a friendly and just as with after the Australia match the lads should come back stronger when it matters.
Crouch needs to beef up ( creatine, steroids plenty of protein and some body building) and get in some sprinting sessins with Linford Christie. He'll never be quick but surely can improve his times.
Carrick MUST learn to tackle otherwise Hargreaves will take his berth
