I can maybe understand when a clubs only real star, as in Rooneys case, early in their career goes chasing the money, but when a players given a club the best part of his career it turns my guts when they get abused by their old 'supporters'.
All it does is the fans look bad. |
Obviously there is going to be an initial backlash when a player leaves any club for their rivals, like in the case of Jennings.
The real problem Spurs fans have with the Campbell move were the lies leading up to it. He insisted he was going to sign a new contract, leading us to turn turn down big money with a year to go on the contract (Ł15M from Man U) and kept on holding off until he then leaves...For Arsenal
At the time he was the countries No 1 defender and the truth was Spurs were going nowhere at the time, If he had come out and said I have to leave now to make the most of my career and let us get a fee for him, even if it was Arsenal, it would not be so bad.
I personally do not have the time or inclination to call Sol "This or That", he served us great for 10 years and whatever anyone says that doesnt get wiped out by one stupid decision. Being a huge England fanm I know the national team is better off with Sol in the squad (If sorted out) and I hope he goes to the world cup. I am not gona slate him for the season and then get behind him in June if selected, just ridiculously hypocritical.
(P.S I WILL BOO HIM WHEN SPURS PLAY ARSENAL - THATS ALLOWED

)
