Bolton Vs Arsenal... Wake me up when it's over.

Oh my God! Is this the most boring game of football ever played!

So much for the "Magic of the FA Cup"

God help us if Sam "Hoof it" Alardyce gets the England job!

I gave up with it to be honest ! I know Arsenal are in what they call a "transition stage" but I wonder if the problems are a bit deeper than that ? It looks like teams have finally realised that you can't give them time on the ball and if you get at them you have a chance. Teams are starting to believe that they can get a result against Arsenal now.

Nope. Completely nuetral - not entirely sure how you can construe that I must be an Arsenal fan from a post where I am criticising how poor they are?

i quite often criticise Fat Sams tactics and style of play, and in my more outspoken moments*(read - drunken), often call for his head. so criticism of any given team does not mean that you dont support them.

.. by the way, i hope Sam continues to be the manager of Bwfc, and not the next coach for England. This for purely selfish reasons, not because he may/maynot be capable of managing his country.

Crap game, too many inexperienced/young players thrown in at once. No cohesion, poor finishing, a dire goal to lose it with. Even had Stelios missed it two others were queing up. Worse, it was Boltons only real chance of the half! God knows what the score would have been had it been a team prepared to make a match of it!

I defended them and Wenger a month or so ago. Now, I'm not so sure. Poor choice of transfers, a 'big' forward when we need centre halves badly, no experienced midfield cover to replace Viera and shore up the youngsters when they make inevitable mistakes, and no new quality keeper.

Is he going the way of Graham in his later years, with a "I know best, and can turn any sows ear into Pele" attitude? Well, it's looking decreasingly like he can anymore.

With a 'white Elephant' stadia rebuild sucking money away from the squad, a team going thru transition does have to rely on youth. But youth thats played together on a regular basis and preferably from the youth team, not being cobbled together from all over Europe! Still, were not alone on that score. Even Utds fabled youth team 'production line' is drying up........

All round, grey days indeed.

Anything's possible. Spurs not falling apart (as usual) and actually finishing above us for example. Useless as we are, I'm not laying a single penny on that one.

Nope. I had a feeling that the Hammers, being Arsenals London 'jinx' team, might make tarts of us. They did. So having a go would only have earned a deserved comeback.

I only gloat when others do it first.

Overall though a pretty poor show by the big sides this week (Although that's probably a good thing for the game!). A crap result for Chelsea, although Villa played well, an even worse one for Man Utd, and Liverpool hardly covered themselves with glory against the 'mighty Brum'. I notice 'raffles' was more interested in diverting attention away from the result by praising Robbie. But then that's precisely why he bought him........

As for Wenger, another English ex Arsenal player (who I rated) makes him look a tart for letting him go. Well done David Bentley. I hope you do well mate.

Hunts, I'm putting on my tin hat on, as the windups will come thick and fast. Let's face it, we can't even get a result at Newcastle away never mind a top five club!

It could be bad, and I mean BAD!

I live on Merseyside, so I have to put up with the rednoses arrogant BS day in day out. Hence my patience isn't that long with some of them (silvers cool, and Neilo's realising it's nothing personal) on here............

Mind you, there is one compensation. It's fun watching bluenoses, who (in private) hate them with a vengence, fencing with, using that famed scouse wit, rednoses!

Agreed. It's something quite serious. Pires hinted as much today.

I don't think it's as simple as 'coming out' guys.
