how much does a team get to appear live on SKY?

I ask as Wigan have been live on sky four time in two weeks.

Is it any wonder prem teams simply get richer and richer. Stupid!

Pete.

The mighty Ayr United were on Sky last week (v Inverness Cally Thistle) scottish cup replay!!

According to a source at the club they got £60 to £80k just from Sky to screen the game!

God only knows what amount the Premiership in england teams get!

I think I heard somewhere that it was something in the region of £250,000 (depending on the particular competition)

boston v man u was live on the box fa cup ? why i ask plenty of better ties on. ok so the magic of the cup minnows ect ect but then they replay at old trafford and its on SKY AGAIN did anyone think that boston was going to beat man u at home NO NO NO must of us dont want to watch man u anyway let alone beat boston 5-0 just more money in the big boys pocket allways has been this way. there was just one more fa cup replay on the night of the man u boston game millwall v everton why not show this millwall draw at home to everton who get a lucky goal at the end this was a better match to show the timmy cahill link got millwall to the final all to play for at 1-1 but know sky go for man u the that all.

It was Burton Albion not Boston.

Don't forget that the underdogs got money from Sky as well as Mancheater united.

Rumour has it that for TV rights and ticket sales (11,000 burton fans went to old Trafford game) of which Burton got a percentage Burton Albion earned nearly £1 Million.

fair enough this only pays the weekly wage bill at Man U but for a non league club like Burton it's a serious income boost.

It has also created an upsurge in interest in the club locally with general gates now being more than doubled.
