That, I have to say, is most definitely not an exaggeration! Wirral is in Cheshire, Scousers come from Liverpool. Tranmere got a reasonable result though, 0-0 with the shrimpers! Oh, and yes, I wasn't shedding too many tears when farbehind won it!

Still, that game is a case of who cares who wins really? Both are 'orrible....................

A boring game, won by the best move of the match...well except for Cisse's open goal miss....yes don't go there

I'll let Overkill have the moment. Hope he's got the passport to eastern Europe ready - UEFA Cup beckons - thats assuming Arsenal don't lose more games

I thought that the first half was poor, but it picked up in the 2nd half and to be honest (though it pains me to say ) Liverpool deserved at least a draw out of it. If only they had a decent striker

A three legged Donkey could have converted that chance with two legs tied behind it's back.

I feel a bit sorry for benitez in the striker department. Cisse and Morientez both were really playing well before coming to liverpool and are both now poor. I'm not a fan of crouch but at least his height gives us an advantge.

Maybe if Cisse stopped trying to balance that Cornish Pastie crust on the top of his head he might play better ?

While Liverpool don't have a 20+ goal a season striker, Benitez's faith in spreading the goals thru the team was working up till Man U...

We lacked an edge and seemed reluctant to really go forward with intent

I suppose we could get Owen in the summer. Newcastle won't ask for too much - Premiership parachute payments to relegated clubs only stretch so far

I'd like Cisse + Pongolle to close the door on their way out. At least we have a power midfield lacking only a winger or two

Thought the commentator had it spot on when he said that if Liverpool had Rooney and Van Nistelrooy to go with midfield and defence it'd be quite a team.

Cisse just is nowhere near good enough. Crouch and Morientes are ok. I'd rather see Sinama-Pongolle given a run than Cisse. We desperately need a top-quality striker.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Liverpool have a great side bar a decent finisher. Crouch and Cisse - give me strength. Yes Crouchs' height is an advantage, but only if you are strong in the air and can actually head the ball with conviction - which he can't. Cisse - why bother???? Interesting haircuts and no finishing skill...great. You need Owen back as I'm sure that he is hating every minute at Newcastle; alternatively, I'm sure you could get Fowler on a free at the end of the season

Nothing mentioned about the Bias blob called 'Alan Green' has he had 'Liverpool *****' tatooed on his member but still fronts up that he gives a unbias commentary....... ........his eruption when a said Mr Neville ran "the full lenght of the pitch" was as laughable as it was enjoyable to listen to as he squirmed in his seat attempting to describe the situation as though it was on par with some kind of Sadam H war crime.

Green shows how poor the BBC radio commentary has become, why his one sided 'Liverpool' roadshows are allowed to be repeated week on week are beyond me.

Couldn't agree more - I think the man is a disgrace and there shouldn't be room for such bias in commentary.

Well said, why do you think Ferguson no longer does interviews for the BBC.....purely down to Mr. Green and his impartial/"you'll never walk alone" comments.

Go on Gary Neville, you're proud to wear the ManU badge on your shirt, nothing wrong with that. If that antagonises the scousers then so be it, the East Lancs and M62 is that way > >>>>

No, not really. Even Neilo isn't convinced. They have a well organised team which is typical of a benitez side, but a great side? Sorry, verdicts well and truly out on that one. A mate of mine is an Anfield season ticket holder (yes guys I DO have rednose mates!) and I asked him last weekend, having not seen him since November, what he thought of the season so far. His thoughts? "Can't really get enthused really. We're winning, which is great, but it's not much fun [at all] to watch, nor is it particularly convincing". This guy is twenty five years a rednose, fifteen years a season ticket holder. Tbh I was shocked, but then again having seen them, I wasn't. Winning isn't everything.

As Neilo said, they are short of more than a 'few forwards'.

Agree totally about Green. But then again the Beeb full stop are Liverpool fans. Motty is mental on them............

The beeb used to be very Liverpool biased when Brian Barwick was the head of match of the day .... not many on the production team support Premier Division sides ....
As for Liverpool ...Yes we are short of more than a couple of decent goal scorers ..right back , right sided midfielder...left sided midfielder....
