Great viewing if your a Pakistan supporter though.. The last one day's batting performance was a real treat and this time we have seen a great bowling performance. Although having said that with a 211 target a great Blackwell performance could still do wonders so it's still a little premature to celebrate.

EDIT: Well he decided to run himself out... one to go.

EDIT2: What the hell England might just steal it!

Well what a finish... for a little while there it looked like England were gonna do something special.. Kabeer Ali did an impressive 39 N.O. right at end; nice catch to finish.

197 All Out. Quality game.

Aye, pretty damn good finish - had me on the edge of my browser button hammering refresh!

Sad that our bowlers had to show our batsmen how to play..... at least thats how it appears to a cricket nub like me.

Kabir Ali is a reasonable lower order batsman whilst James Anderson is probably the world's worst number 11.

Several times Kabir took a single off the first ball of the over leaving Hopeless Harry to fend for himself for the other five, including facing the fastest bowler in the world.

We might have even sneaked a win if Kabir had protected Anderson a bit more.

Although it is about time England decided what the hell they are doing with the one day team well done to Liam Plunkett today, excellent final over and some important runs.

It looks as though the tour hasn't been a total waste of time. Blackwell seems to have played well too over the last few matches.

Michael Vaughan and Kevin Pietersen will be important members of the one day side but even so the tactics were difficult to decipher at times. The effectiveness of the supersub is dictated very much by who wins the toss yet sometimes the sub was bowler James Anderson and at other times it was batsman Ian Bell whilst the rest of the team remained the same.

Using Matt Prior as a one day opener wasn't successful but there again he was taken on the tour as the reserve wicket keeper / batsman anyway - Ian Bell is worth persevering with and Paul Collingwood can make a telling contribution at the highest level but the biggest positive to come out of the tour is the excellent backup that we have to to our Ashes winning fast bowling quartet with both a confident James Anderson and Liam Plunkett vying for a place in the team.

Hopefully we will have a fully fit squad to select from in early 2006 for the tour of India
