i was in the same position with espn, i thought i watched it alot, but then i realised i was sometimes going weeks without watching it, i got rid of it, and to sweeten it, they dont turn it off for 30 days, so im still getting it for a bit longer. i cant pay £10 or £12, cant remember which, just for a ufc event.

in 5 months its leaving espn, so meanwhile i just go over my brothers when one is on, just until the espn contract ends.

its £9 with sky sports and it is a pain to justify every month but the way we look at is because we live in the middle of nowhere we never really go out anymore so we are saving the cash that way.

I had ESPN through Sky (just for the UFC - never watched anything else) and was quite happy until my footy team got promoted to the Premiership this season so I've upgraded to include Sky Sports.

I wouldn't mind if UFC moves to Sky Sports (I'd cancel the ESPN sub) but I do not want it to go PPV.

I'm committed to Sky Sports for the time being now they've poached the F1 coverage as well.

I'd be happier if it was all in one place and in HD

UFC Bra$$ won't see it that way.

I for one won't be staying up til 1am to watch it (on a school night).

Will it be possible to watch it on UFC.com the next morning or will I have to seek alternative methods, anyone know?

Usually available the next day. Always has been when I'm watching prelims.

Are you in fear of finding out the results by visiting the next day?

I'm reluctant to go to UFC.com the next morning unless I can be sure not to stumble across any results

Unless it's changed, the fights show on ufc.tv, not ufc.com. That's the way it goes for the prelims anyway. I suspect if you go through ufc.com it will redirect you anyway.

I've always watched prelims, weigh ins, press conferences etc via ufc.tv and there's never spoilers.

I have BT vision and the only reason I have it is because ESPN is included. We have Sky at work though so I'll just have to watch it there instead.

Isn't this what Arianny used to 'present'?

Much better now thought and a good use of Anik.

yeh, she did, she was very wooden, and was only there as eye candy. john anik is great, really easy to take to, and brings a bit of professionalism to it, alot better than a bimbo who thinks a smile wins over actual mma knowledge.

Roger's coming off a loss though isn't he?
As great as his BJJ is I doubt he'll ever make the grade at top level in MMA but I hope i'm wrong as I personally know of people who have received various coloured belts from Roger and they all speak very highly of him as a person.

I only have ESPN and like some of you its only for UFC. Anyone know how much the Sky Sports package is?

I pay
£20 for Sky Sub
£20 for Sports pack
£9 to then add ESPN

I used to pay £10 extra to have HD but I didn't think it was worth it. I still get HD on BBC 1, BBC HD, ITV, ch4 and ch 5 though and that's fine for me.

If Sky get UFC then I'll cancel the £9 ESPN sub.

Spot on.

Tbh I am the only 'hardcore' ufc viewer amongst my friends. Others can take it or leave it or catch up online during the week () So if I ever tried to invite them around, with the request of monies upon entry I do not need to ask psychic sally what their responses would be.

...and I enjoy watching the show the following morning, by myself, while the kids are upstairs playing with toys or reading and I will often save the headline fight to watch with my gf. So paying a monthly minimal fee is not something I notice too much, but if they thought about changing each event to PPV, I would have to reconsider my devotion, because money wise it could start becoming too expensive to watch, unless I start charging the gf, but not sure how well that would go down

I think most of us are the same as you Crimson, I often watch the following morning or on a Sunday evening after the wife has gone to bed. Not sure how easy it is to Sky+ PPV events as i've never had to but I certainly would never watch a US UFC event live

I usually watch the events around 7am on the Sunday, I can't wait until Sunday evening as I like to catch up on the tweets etc during the day.

I've got one buddy who liked UFC before I did (I've only been aware of it since 2006 or 2007) but he hasn't got Sky or ESPN so I save them and show him some decent fights when we have a beer every couple of months.

However. I've got another buddy who I've gradually got into UFC (he now records and watches the ones I say are good) but it's taken me about a year to convert him.

I find the best way to engage newcomers is to tell them a bit about the personalities (especially if there's some needle between 2 fighters) and the fighters are then brought to life and have relevance.

That's how I got my wife into F1 years ago by telling her about the Senna/Hill/Schumacher situation, and now she's a bigger fan than me and together we've been to around 20 GP's. She always thought it was just cars going round a track until she knew more about the teams and drivers etc.

We both went to our first UFC event (Birmingham Nov) and really enjoyed it (and she took an interest in the fighters because I'd given her some background info on them)

I think TUF did a really good job at doing just this. Certainly made me have a more of an interest in a lot of the prelims

I like Alan Burper - but Palhares is a cave-dwelling scrumple-faced heel-hooking troglodyte
