Didn't pacquio say that doing those tests so close to the fight would weaken him?

I agree with you Iccz, Mayweather just trying to make it akward and stall the fight for as long as he can.
I only hope that they do fight eachother, which doesn't seem likely this year

He did, but it's nonsense, the fact is Pac hates needles and doesn't want to take a test he doesn't need to. Can't blame him at all.
I'd love to see the fight, but I can't see it happening

If taking the test near to the fight would weaken Pacquio, I can perfectly understand why he doesn't want to take the test. However if it is harmless than i believe that Pacquio should just be the better man and do it, to make the fight.

I saw the promo for the Amir Kahn fight against Zab, at the end of the month.

I reckon there is more chance of him facing Mayweather than Pacquio

I agree, but only to a degree, at the same time I think, why should Pac have to do a test that is not required, just because Mayweather knows he hates needles and will suffer the mental effects of it and the interruptions it would cause to his training schedule.

If the test is after the fight I see no issue. But at any point in the training period then it's a problem - it could bruise up badly which would naturally cause a problem for training/sparring.

Totally agree with Iccz, Mayweather has never been a real risk taker and a fight with Pacquio right now would be the biggest of his career, he just doesn't fancy it so came up with an excuse as only he knows how.

Funny how nobody else seems concerned(in that regard at least) about fighting Pacquio

As already suggested, it's mind games, he wants to put Pac off the fight and that's what he's doing for as long as he can. I bet if Pacquio hit a slow & steady decline Mayweather would be much more interested, and the exclusive drug test demand would suddenly be magically resolved.

I think this is a fight that could happen, but only if the risk factor largely drops within the next 2 or 3 years(ie. Pacman slows down).

I'd take on Pacman and Mayweather at the same time if I didn't have this dodgy toe!

To be fair, I'd lose 80lb and take a beating for the pay day you get for a few rounds with pacman!

Ricky Hatton is finally retiring "officially". I doubt it will come as a surprise to any of us.

Thought he would have gone for Wlad or Vitali first... he's the right weight for them!

So true!

It's common knowledge that he struggles with his weight but it's sad to see him in some pictures!

Hi all, for those who don't know I Just found a new boxing channel on Sky called Box Nation (Channel 456). Looks like its run by Frank Warren and seems to show old cards, looks pretty good for a freebie channel

Saturday is looking like a great night of boxing, don't forget Tony Bellew v Ovill McKenzie II aswell. Now if only that whole evening was being shown on this new free channel I'd be well chuffed, sadly will be the usual case of dodgy stream sites for me

Did anyone see the Wolak - Rodriguez fight? Fantastic contest, neither gave an inch to the other. Have a look at Wolak's eye:

Agreed.
Bellew did enough, but i expected much more from him.
Boxing to orders, as he admitted, and got the job done, but it didn't make for a decent fight.
I'm not going to sat this will be better for fear of jinxing it

Just been catching up on last nights boxing, undercards were surprisingly poor, but thankfully the Mitchell v Murray fight was a cracker!

Fair play to Mitchell, great come back from his defeat to Katsidis and looked really sharp through most of the fight, lovely upercuts and great movement, came back from some pretty big punches too where it looked like it might have been goodnight.

Always enjoy a good tear-up but happy to see Mitchell win that one as certainly looked the better boxer, Murray wasted way too much punching air I thought.

the whole mayweather and pacquiao fight, in my eyes it will happen, but to me its bob arum stalling it, not the fighters, i'm just waiting for mayweather vs ortiz going to be a quality fight and possibly the rematch with Cotto and Margarito
