Sturm fight was either a draw or edged out by Sturm. Don't know how people are saying it was a victory for Murray.

Murray got destroyed by Rios, and would have regardless of rios making weight or not.

But in the main fight, Miguel was awesome! That 2nd round was just beautiful boxing!

Murray v Rios was a right tear up! I thought it was pretty even going into the middle rounds, but the state of Murray's face in the later rounds and you could sense from the 7th how it was going to end.

Either way no shame in that loss, thought Murray did himself proud and showed plenty of heart(as usual). You have to wonder how many more wars like that he can afford to get into though.

Haven't seen the Chisora/Helenius fight yet - was the decision as bad as they say?

Yep. Good all round effort by Del-Boy... if only he bothered to take that attitude into the Tyson Fury fight.

Why does the cynic in me believe this announcement was held back in the hope not to deter anyone from subscribing to Boxnation!

Promoter Frank Warren has postponed his Liverpool Echo Arena event this Friday (9th December) to Friday 27th January, 2012.

Further details regarding the rescheduled event will be announced shortly through this office.

Always thought this was quite strange timing, but, the bill wasn't exactly stacked with quality fights!

Did anyone see the ITV doc last night about Benn/McClellan - "The Fight of their Lives"?

It started off pretty strong, Groves, DeGale, a few of the Smith brothers, so was definitely worthy of a watch... but when I subscried to BN weekend (after telling myself I wouldn't ) I knew I was paying that months tenner for the Saturday night card(s) which in fairness delivered.

i am sure there were many boxing fans who thought the same mate - not signing up to BN, then giving in for the Cotto / Marg re-match
Haven't subscribed myself.
I do think the Groves, DeGale fights would've been ordinary affairs, so i thought it was a reasonably low key card anyway.

One of Amir Khans cousins has posted on Twitter. Show starts at 2.30am and Khan is due to hit the ring around 3.45am.

Could be a little earlier if the undercard fights end early.

Khan will be entering the ring at roughly 3.50am (UK time) and the proper build up for the fight will start at 2.30am (UK time). This was confirmed by khan himself on Twitter earlier.

What is the undercard like?
I can't decide whether to ride it out or try to get a few hours in.
Khan rounds 8-10 I think btw. Peterson is tough.

he threw nothing away. after the first couple of rounds peterson turned it around and then dominated thereafter. another case of khan getting found out against a quality opponent.

lets hope we've seen the back of this chump once and for all.

Peterson won by SD by 1pt after Khan got deducted two and he got 'found out'

It's obvious Khan's weakness is when his opponents turn fights into wars. When the guy opposite him comes forward Khan goes running. On the ropes he freezes and is victim to uppercuts.

I was following the fight via radio and they had khan 2 points up even with the penalties.

Obviously they were wrong !

What's with all the Khan hate???

I couldn't believe he lost that fight... let himself down tremendously IMHO and to see he and Golden Boy have lodged an 'official complaint' is ridiculous, he was warned countless time and persistently fouled.

I dunno what it is with Khan at times, he can look so inexperienced, how many times did Roach scream to him to use the uppercut, it was the winning shot of the fight and he seemed to keep abandoning it for silly macho 'I've got a chin' tactics... I think he's given his titles away here, I really do... he needs to forget all those dreams of a match with Mayweather and just hope he gets a rematch from LP, as I reckon Bradley will be sniffing around for the rest of the belts......

Only just watched this one last night, what a surprise cracker of a fight. Similar to the above, had it not been for the points deductions I'd have have been slightly favouring Peterson on the points decision, with probably a point in it. Peterson was superb and desevered the win, Khan was just too negative for my taste.

Khan let himself down a bit with the lack of grace after the fight, bascially insisting he was the cleaner fighter and the ref was against him, not sure what planet he was on there

A rematch would be qaulity though!

As much as I really enjoyed the style and tactics of Peterson(always love a good brawl), I do think Khan would win in a rematch(he simply got it all wrong this time) so can't see him missing any opportunity of getting it on again.
