Hi chaps

Now, I accept this is going to be difficult without a photo - but here goes...

I have a sporting photo quiz and the only question I can't answer is to identify a picture as follows:-

White male, dark hair, thick eyebrows aged late teens / early twenties standing in front of a silver renault with 'foreign' number plates (...15-XY) with arms outstetched and holding a green L plate.

I guess it is subsequently a famous racing driver who at the time had just passed his test. I initially thought of Michael Shumaker (has that sort of look about him), or Nigel Mansell (although the eyebrows are not quite that mad) - but cannot find any matching photos on the web. The closest I have come to finding a picture which looks like this fella is Jean Alesi - however still no actual picture match.

...oh for a scanner right now...

Any F1 fans out there who may be able to help (although of course he may have nothing to do with driving and is just a random sports man just chuffed that his Mum doesn't have to ferry him around now)...

Thanks for those who helped out and suggested Alonso - you are correct and I won the quiz...

...just blown the winnings on a copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the PS3 from ShopTo (£29.85 + possible 4% Quidco if your interested).
