tbh since the stupid mistake last week, I've lost interest and just chucked the £13 left on a more than 1.5 goals in Man Utd V Wolves game the next day and that lost as well.

Will keep an eye on the thread and best of luck gents!

Sorry to hear that mate, you sure you're not going to give it one more try for a tenner? I'm pretty much back to square one as well but I got carried away at the end. Will stick to it this time though

Not being a gambler by nature ( well not cash anyway) its tough for me and keeping an eye on you guys and what you tip / suggest etc makes it all the more interesting and involving for me

Won my 1.11 under 4.5 goals on the scouse game - 15.72 bet / 1.72 won which is my 2.5%

Unfortunatly

I put a fiver on the scallys ( actually that could be wigan or the pool lol) when they went 1 goal down at odds of 15 with a hope of laying it - but the bleeders didnt score !!!!

I honestly didnt realise Liverpool were quite as bad as they looked from sky sports match text tonight

anyway - still got £62.28 going - just cant seem to break the 65 quid mark lol

I had the mis fortune to watch the Liverpool game on ESPN, it was dire. No passion/no desire and no commitment.

Lille and Pompey must be rubbing their hand together. Totally forgot to lay out my footy accy as well

My take on the arsenal match is BOTH sides need a goal to assure their progress so should see an open attacking game .....

lost £4 on the peterborough game and £4 on backing Porto when they went 1 down - they really didnt seem out of it and thought arsenal were lucky to get the first so guessed (incorrectly) that porto would get a goal back and then id be able to lay.

Unlucky mate, the Arsenal match really surprised me, never thought they'd win 5-0! Got to be some goals in tonights games again surely? Especially with AC Milan needing a few goals minimum and Rooney back to being fit. Nice when you put money on x goals or more and it gets scored within a minute

I've been going through these cycles. Looking at my betting account for example it was down to £33 at one point on Saturday. I felt the same as you but a couple of accumulator wins and I've managed to get it upto £75 now which is where it's never been, luck can turn around.

The Real game must be a buy goals game. Madrid score goals for fun at home.
Over 1.5 goals is 1.2 (need about 16% of your balance for this one)

I'd take Man Utd in the "To Qualify" market at 1.09 (would need 33% of your balance to achieve 2.5%)

Can you confirm what you mean by, "buying goals" I've seen this market on Betfair but doesn't really make sense to me.

lol, thats just me unable to switch off from the day job. It just means i think there will be goals.

I look at it as three options.
Safe = backing 100% on 1 goal or more
Medium = lesser balance % on Over 1.5 goals
High = Very small % on Over 3.5 goals. (but this is more of a punt TBH)

Dilemma this game, on the one hand I agree Madrid have scored in every game at home this season and only once scored less than 2 goals. On the other Lyon have managed to keep clean sheets in their last 5 games, of the 12 leagues I look at only Ajax with 6 can better that. With Lyon only needing a 0-0 I'm thinking of going against the bookies and maybe Under 4.5 Goals @ 1.27 or Under 5.5 Goals @ 1.11.

Having said that, it is also because they are so bad at the back. I think there is a fair chance there will be a decent score in their game tonight. If Lyon score 1st it will probably be back to the wall stuff from them as Madrid will need 3, but I do fancy Madrid to go through. Perhaps win maybe 3-1?

As for the Utd game, both teams again will struggle to keep a clean sheet I think, so at least 2 goals is probably a decent bet.

Dazza, is that their last 5 Champions League games or last 5 domestic games? No offence to the French league but it's not the quality of the champions league obviously. I'm going 1 goal or more on this one I think. I'm going to leave the Man U game though.

Just to point out that Stoke are 3.15 to beat Burnley tonight. Which usually mean they will still be fairly good odds if they go 1-0 up in the 1st half.

2 Possibles, chance a low stake and cover if they score.
or... back them if they 1-0 up and run em to the finish.

I've done the 1st one, putting ~30p on Stoke and put the lay (select in-play "keep") in to cover a 40p profit. (don't get put off by the size, its the principle of the bet)

I've thrown Stoke in my accumulator tonight. Noticed Burnley at home this season, 11 out of 13 matches have had goals in the 1st half. You've got to go back to mid December against Fulham to find a goalless first half.
