I wonder what he actually wrote? I realise footballers are generally a bit slow, but there's no way it took him that long to scribble "I'm sorry, John Terry #26" or whatever.

I cannot understand why the likes of John Terry (and indeed Tiger Woods) should feel the need to apologise to me and you. Its sweet FA to us what he does in his own private life. It hasn't affected ours at all.

He can sleep with each girlfriend of the entire Chelsea team for all I care.

Unfortunately we now have a population who care too much about the lives of so-called 'celebrities' and feel that their lives have a bearing on our own.

Get over yourselves.

I think the most amazing part is when a select few of our own 'fans' booed him during the England friendly

Yeah you English do that a lot. You build your footballers into heroes, then really enjoy kncoking them down again. "How dare you get so big-headed, we made you what you are, and we can destroy you again".

He wrote to Wayne Best Wishes.

I really don't understand why this video became news, a couple of people tried to trick John Terry and be funny but failed, how on earth did it make national news papers?

The video has been removed.

This whole story has dragged on and will do so until the World Cup I think. Even then his performances will be wholly scrutinised, based on this event

The reason why people like Terry and Woods apologise is whilst it may not matter to some of you what they do off the pitch; to an awful lot of kids and parents it does.

The reason they apologise is to appease their sponsors.

End of.

He will continued to be booed by some too. Nothing amazing or wrong with them expressing their own feelings on the matter which has become public. Totally predictable.
