It's the usual put the foot through player against Arsenal. As for Eduardo's recovery from a similar injury being a precedent I would argue that Eduardo is a shadow of the player before the injury. The leg is hanging in a completely wrong direction from where it should be.

just using sky +, you can see that its a nasty fracture, looks around or just above the ankle, the leg is certainly bending in the wrong place. Tackle was heavy from both sides it looked like as both went for the ball, difficult to see properly due to the camera angle but looks like shawcross has gone to boot the ball and booted ramseys leg instead.

(LMAO) is that not a bit inappropriate at laughing at the possible consequences of a career threatening injury.

I didnt see the tackle but looking at these pictures it looks like Shawcross was in tears after seeing what he had done. I do hope people don't start calling for Shawcross' banning or demonising. There was just some muppet on 606

Shawcross was crying at what had happened as he walked off the pitch. I felt for him he knew it was bad.

Horrible.

But still, teams will keep saying its perfectly fine to rough Arsenal up to beat them, and the media will keep gleely reporting so. Its irresponsible crap like that that leads to injuries like this.

I've had a look at it and i'm sorry but i know that people like Fabregas has seen 3 leg breaks in an Arsenal top but the way him & Campbell reacted to the ref, linesman & Shawgrove was terrible.
Its unfortunate for whats happened to Ramsey but looking at the tackle they both went in 50/50.
Shawgrove not to blame and i hope if both of them see the footage they apologise.
Even Fabregas's his little finger on the mouth gesture at the stoke bench when he scored was out of line.
But anyway get well Ramsey as i dont wish that sort of injury upon anyone.

Except Drogba who needs to know what a real injury feels like !

Just watched this, what a horrific injury. Genuinely don't think there was malicious intent in the challenge though, it's just one of those unfortunate things that happen sometimes in football. You can see why Arsenal players/fans would be upset though, this being the third (?) such injury in recent years.

Anyone who says Shawcross had malicious intentions when he made that challenge knows nowt about football.

Terrible blow for Ramsey but he is young enough to get over it and hopefully back playing at the same level. I feel for Shawcross too. He's just been called in to the England squad as well.
