Super League 2010-11

Anyone else a fan of super league?

What are your thoughts on the season so far?

I think Wigan look very good especially during their win against Warrington last Saturday.

Leeds aren't doing so well at the moment and I think they will need to pull their fingers out against Melbourne on Sunday to stand any chance!

As a die hard Rhinos fan I cant believe the start that we have got off too. I like to think that it is because everyone ups their game when playing the 3 time champions but I know in reality that we really are just playing badly. But I know that we can turn it around and scrape into the playoffs and then all the way to Old Trafford.

Sunday is going to be interesting, the last time we played Storm we only won because of the damn awful conditions and if the weather is good this time and we play like we have been then this its going to be a slaughter.

I know its said every year but this year it really does look like every team is capable of beating each other, and I would even count Crusaders in with that. If Leeds cant win it then I would like to see Catalans or Huddersfield do it.

It wasn't a great game though. The ref was just not letting the play flow as Storm were constantly holding down and not being penalised. Then when the ref finally warned them he just continued to either ignore the holding or not sin bin as he should have done. Thats what finally got to Senior in the end, thereby he gave away the penalty for dissent and put Storm on the front foot.

Is it a well known tactic in the NRL to hold down a lot or was the ref just being slack? Admittedly Leeds didn't seem to pick up on it and lie on Storm as they were getting off quickly and letting Storm run at us. Which is a big no no for any Aussie team.

Wigan Warriors fan here

Absolutely loving the start we've made this season, can't wait for Leeds, Saints and Hull and believe if we can win those games we can top the league.

I can still see Leeds coming back and finishing well. They often start slowly and come back into it. The Super League is also really competetive at the moment and I think whoever finishes top will have quite a few losses at the end of the season. It makes for an entertaining competition.

Did anyone see the excellent come back from Bradford against Wigan Friday?, they were 20-nil down at half time and end up winning 22-20, excellent second half.

I'm still keen to find out who may be broadcasting the NRL in the UK. I can't go without my beloved State of Origin

I saw the first half but decided at half time that the match was only going one way so decided to play a bit of COD instead. Flicked back on with about ten to go and Bradford were pressing hard. Looked like a good game but I couldn't get over some of the woeful defending by Bradford early on. Someone needs to teach those wingers how to defend properly instead of rushing out of the line!

Not sure about whether it will be shown. However, the place to look for it would be a website called livesportontv.com. They only list fixtures a couple of weeks in advance so as the Origin games don't kick off until May, they aren't up yet. To be honest, I can't remember the games being televised in the past but that's not to say they aren't. If not, I'm sure you'll be able to find them on t'interweb.

Well thank god for the Challenge cup as otherwise Leeds is season is over. Was getting all excited after the win against Hull but just proved to be a false dawn, and now Burrow is out I think we will struggle even more.

On a side note I noticed that Sky channel 433 MSK (Irish sports channel it looks like) shows the NRL.
