Unhappy Anyone actually ever got tickets for Wembley???

Desperately been trying to get tickets to watch Villa thrash Man U at Wembley in a couple of weeks time, but got absolutely no luck what-so-ever. I am not a season ticket holder, nor would expect to get the same priviledges as one, but have been to quite a few games this season, home and away. Villa are the team I supported from about the age of 6 when I used to live in Birmingham, now live in Southampton and it is about an 8 hour round-trip on a good day to Villa Park, so I do my best, work and missus permitting.

Fact of the matter is that Villa and Man U get just over 30,000 tickets each. Isn't there somewhere near 80,000 seats at Wembley? What happens to the remaining 20,000 tickets?

Really ****** off TBH as I haven't been to watch a football game at Wembley in about 13 years

Has anyone else ever had trouble getting tickets to see a game at Wembley??

They go to sponsors and other corporate stuff.

Other clubs get tickets too, I believe.

You'll get them, but it's going to cost probably £300 each at a minimum on fleabay etc.

30,000 isn't enough for small clubs, let alone bigger ones

Doesn't Villa do membership scheme?

Make me laugh that people aren't happy to pay out for season tickets but expect a ticket when it comes to big games. Had mine for donkey years, share it with my cousin now days though as i can't always go. Pays for itself this way.

Get yourself a membership or invest in a season ticket even if you have to share it, never know when you may just need that Wembley ticket.

Carling Cup Final 2010: Aston Villa v Manchester United Tickets at Wembley Stadium in London on 28/02/2010 15:00:00

Carling Cup Final Tickets - Carling Cup Tickets UK - Football Tickets

Probably have more luck finding one in the UTD end also.

Edit, good luck hope you get one mate.

All the Man U fans live round the corner from Wembley anyway right?

loads of my mate got tickets in there end last CC Final, there not really interested in this cup. Bus mans hoilday as they say for them, you'd be surpriced how many UTD tickets will be on sites for sale.
You can also tell by the prices, V Chelsea our tickets on sites where in the £600+ and the Chelsea end around £200. Supply and demand, teams like UTD chelsea are used to these games, teams like Villa and others aren't so much.

Also another thing that pisses me of is when companys just give the tickets away to your arm chair supporters and others who don't even support either team.

I can partly agree with that and indeed it's the reason I don't expect one this time.

But by the other side of the coin, one final in 14 years () doesn't justify a ST if you're not going to use it imo.
I've previously held a ST for years, but as I often now work away, it's just not possible to get to most games.
And while I do feel somewhat sympathetic to long distance fans, I also feel the way Villa have handled it is about as fair as it could be.

It is annoying that so many thousands go to people who don't intend going and only have the tickets to sell on though

Funnily enough I forgot that one

Mind you, I think I want to keep forgetting it

Strangely that was also the only one I never went to out of all of them since the 75 final, hence I've never seen us lose at Wembley with me being there

Then again, the one time I never went, we lost.

I hope that's not a bad omen

I think that the allocation of 30-32,000 is a fair one and should go to season ticket holders first - better than a first come, first served allocation where all the part timers jump on the seats before the real fans get chance to.

Why don't you try and see if you can find a Villa supporters forum on the internet. Not sure if they have one similar to ours but thats a good place to source and sell tickets if you need to, just like the classifieds on here for AV gear.

Good luck in the final, hope you win, will be nice to see Richard Dunne with a trophy although a little part of me will be thinking .... grrrrrrrrrrrr

All the best to Villa.

I went to the Arsenal - Chelsea final a few years back the only reason i got tickets was because i had been to at least 7 games previous that season. Very wrong imo that someone who has been to a lot of games misses out to someone who hasn't been to any others.

.
This is the best way to get tickets imo its how i get mine no chance of a season ticket so i use the all red membership, get an email for the games after so many purchases say you go up in the line so to speak
