In the groups of 6 team, do the top 2 go through automatically or do second placed teams play a qualifier?

From a TV perspective SKY will be happy too their Wales contract means like last time they'll be showing the England game at the Millennium Stadium.

Will be interesting to see how quickly (and by who) the rights get snapped up to the rest of the away games. All but one of the England World Cup ones were bought by Setanta on the day of the draw.

2 co hosts, 9 group winners, 1 second place team with most points (team in a 6 team group, results against bottom team removed) then the 8 other second places in a playoff.

They always do.

Granted, having a higher seed, entitles you to an easier ride but they never seem to get it tough in the group stages.

The other UK nations have it tough, as is expected. None of them have any chance of winning their group (save for ROI) imo, but i'm sure they'll all think that 2nd is possible.
