I almost didn't go because I was hoping to catch the match on TV instead, and there I am going through the crowds in Cardiff hoping to catch a bus, and casually inquiring about ticket prices to touts, but I had doubts about going into such a public place. The tout took offence and said he wasn't a thief, but I walked away, not wanting to go in.
But then I decided, I had the money (£20), and so I went back to the guy and bought a slightly dog-eared (but fully genuine) ticket - for the middle tier, no less, offering a great view of the pitch.
It cost £4.50 more for a pint of SA Brains bitter (is it bitter?) and a packet of roast ox crisps, but I had a great time in the end.
The game had everything: a great try by Wales, a neat interception by the Samoans to score their own try, a missed penalty by the Samoans in front of the Welsh posts, and a couple of Mexican Waves.
Oh, and a streaker -

- brought down by stewards who were almost as good as the Welsh team in their tackles of the naked man.
The only downside is, Wales could've played better, and they were wearing yellow. But they still won.
This was my third time to a match in the Millennium Stadium, but the first to support Wales directly in a winning match. It felt great.
The only problem is, it would normally cost a lot more for a ticket for a Wales game on their home turf, and I think I was lucky this time. BTW, I checked prices for lower tier tickets, and they were something like £18, and I would imagine the better seats cost more.
Was I ripped off, buying from a tout on the spur of the moment? I don't think I was.
I'm glad I decided to see it in person, anyway, because it seems there was no live TV coverage after all.
I only hope if I go to future matches like that, they will be at similar ticket prices.
