MCFC stars giving something back

A young 6 year old lad who lives in the same small part of Manchester as I do is currently struggling against a brain tumour ..... he has been in the press a few times as local celebrities like Ricky Hatton have been helping raise his spirits as he battles against the illness. What better way could there be to bring a smile to a young boy's face than seeing his heroes up close and personal ... brought a little tear to my eye. Get well soon Ben, hope you can overcome your brain tumour and go from strength to strength ...... best wishes.

We may never have been the best on the pitch during my lifetime, but as far as I can remember, we've always been right up there with our off-the-pitch, community type projects. Alex Williams is a fantastic leader of CITC.

Well done City

Re: MCFC stars giving something back

Always nice to see this sort of thing. I just love a nosy behind the scenes at football clubs as well, to see the resources at their disposal.

A friend of my Mum's had a boy who had a terminal illness a few years back. He used to go and watch West Ham and they were brilliant, Harry Redknapp attended his funeral when he died. We don't know the half of what these footballers and manager's do outside of football for charity etc
