£50 to go and see us play Chelsea, Spurs and Bolton at home.
Bloody bargain as I usually pay £35 per game

You should enjoy it. The Villa Megastore is worth a browse for a souvenir as well.
Who do you usually support then?

Who do you usually support then? | Hope so, it's not far from Bristol so we're looking to get a car load for each game plus a mate of mine chefs at the stadium on match days will join us at half time if he can. You've a decent team at the moment so could be some real action packed matches. Will probably just go for the cheapest ticket option.
I'm normally (well less regularly lately) watching Conference South strugglers Weymouth, my birthplace... We're paying for chasing the football league dream at the moment having overspent like so many other clubs, successive relegations beckon.

If you can afford it, go for the Holte End. Stonking atmosphere and a really beautiful stand to admire for the outside. I always get goosebumps going up the steps!

The last time I was at Villa park we (Arsenal) won 0-2 and being sat with the home fans, I almost got battered for showing my delight.
The 'highlight' was when some dumb fan stood up behind me bellowing Nazi comments at Jens Lehmann...quite what Thomas Hitzlsperger made of that being only yards away I'll never know

Looks a good deal sort of a 3 for the price of 2. It's a shame when you watch MOTD sometimes and still see empty seats even though a club is playing a top 4 side on the day and the games not on the TV.

For me, this might just be the start of the decline of the EPL and the hype that surrounds it. For ages the stadiums were packed out, now its obvious that there are empty seats about.
I even see on HotUkDeals that there's a special offer on Arsenal v Liverpool in the Carling Cup - this is only a sign that they are struggling to sell tickets for that game, which would never have happened in the past.
But that £50 deal is a good offer.

I was reading something about Arsenal the other day and even with the 60K seater stadium they have now all the match day money they generate goes on players wages.
Sky sports & ESPN a month is pretty cheap when you consider what going to watch EPL football can cost.

Villa are offering a cracking deal to get people into the ground for the big game against Chelsea and then two smaller teams Its a move to get people OUT of their armchairs and supporting their teams .... you then state ridiculously that this "might be the start of the decline of the EPL" yeah right ....

But I have ploughed plenty of money into them since the mid 80s in terms of merchandising, and I have actually travelled quite often (considering my location) to see them play live.
Add to this I have also been a season ticket holder (and still am) at my local club for many many years now.
Am I off the hook?

But that £50 deal is a good offer. | Ask any Birmingham (or Newcastle) fan what they think of Villa (& Sunderland) - both teams are renowned for offering ticket deals, this has been going on for years as they simply can't sell out their stadiums every week. This is nothing new.
It is a good deal though, I'd certainly take them up on it. Arsenal v Liverpool prices were that price from the start & always are for Carling Cup games at the Emirates no matter who they're playing - and they always sell out
