Top 4 Super Sunday

Man Utd V Man City
Chelsea V Tottenham.

Come on what is everyone's view, think Utd city will be a blinding game but can see Utd nicking it.

As for Spurs, haven't done to bad against chelsea last few seasons after not beating them in the league for bloody years. I'd take a point away to chelsea all day.

Think will both be blinding games with 4 attacking teams this season all playing well.

My prediction is
Man UTD 3 City 2
Chelsea 2 Tottenham 2

COYS.

EDIT..

Top 4 @ time of posting

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

Good call, both could well be good attacking games, though I'm wary about City because 5 of our 6 strikers are unavailable (though Tevez could be a late sub). I don't mind what happens so long as we have a good go!

And Spurs away at a tough place to play will do very well to get a point too. The pretenders to the crown will be tested!

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

I can see a 3-2 win for Utd with City being in front at half-time.

As for Chelsea and Spurs....anything could happen in all honesty. I'm going for a 1-1 draw with Spurs scoring first ().

Up the blues!

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

Its a shame we are missing our strikers, particularly Adebayor who has been magnificent so far this season.

I think the thing in our favour is the pace of our counter attacks with SWP, Petrov and Bellamy we have three speed merchants.

Chelsea are always tough to play against at Stamford Bridge, although Spurs have been on fire .... the battle between Ashley Cole and Aaron Lennon may well have a big factor on the outcome ....

My predictions ...

United 2 City 2
Chelsea 2 Spurs 1 (sorry Jeff)

COME ON CITY!!

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

Was praying for 4 points from these two fixtures (Man Utd & Chels) prior to last weekends defeat to Utd, so would still be happy with a point tomorrow . Having said that we got a point last year & we're playing much better now so who knows. 'Arry hopefully.

Well looking forward to the Manchester derby, no idea who'll win it just hoping for a great match. If forced to say maybe United by the odd goal.

No problem Steve, must admit i haven't looked forward to a sundays football for a long time. Will be sitting down with a few at 1pm.

If Arry starts with Keane on the left will be well beated Sunday, hopefully he'll start (tempted to say Bale) Kranjcar.

I'd start
Gomes
Assou-Ekotto . King , Bossang , Corluka
Lennon Jenas Placiois Kranjcar
Defoe Keane/Crouch

Yep, Keane back up front to start with. Got a feeling though Arry might begin with Crouch . Hopefully Jenas will give Palacios more support than Huddlestone did last week.

Would love to see GDS get some sort of look in as well.

Would be quite happy if he started on left.

Hope we don't sit back, we can beat anyone on our day. Playing Huddlestone last week caused us to get over run in midfield. Don't think Arry will full for that this week.

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

Was it last season or the one before that City did the double over Utd?

I don't think derbies decide who is the better team. Obviously that is weeded out over 38 games. Should still be a great game to watch and hopefully better that the ***** Birmingham derby last weekend.

I think United will be up for this, I predict a 4-1 in United's favour.

I will go with a 1-1 in the London derby, just cannot see it being an open game

Simon,
Can't you just join in instead of trying to get the thread close?

What does sky call it when liverpool Arsenal chelsea and United all play?

Whats your problem?

Anyway to keep it on subject Spurs haven't won away to a top 4 team since 93 (in league). We're doomed.

Interesting to see people think City aren't up to the task. Best hope we've got is taggart thinks the same. I'd be happy with a point if I'm honest though.

(Have to say it's nice being referred to as top four, did it on MOTD tonight too!)

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

I think its interesting too Munkey Boy that with all the Adebayor shenanigans we didn't really get the credit / recognition we deserved for the result over Arsenal.

Anyway, I'm more hopeful than expectant as we could cope without Tevez / Robinho but Adebayor is a huge miss for us ...... lets hope we can use speed to counter attack to good effect ..... any arguments with this line up?

Given
Richards Toure Lescott Bridge
Ireland Barry DeJong
SWP Bellamy Petrov

4-3-3 .... or 4-5-1 depending on who has the ball!

Come on Blue Boys!

Re: Top 4 Super Sunday

Nope, no arguments with that line-up. Still 5 players I'd be confident that know where the back of the net is (Barry, Ireland, Wright-Phillips, Bellamy and Petrov), so I'm far from conceding yet. You're right I'd be ALOT more confident with Ade starting though.

We will see!

We are not, we're not really here....

I think given you've got your 4 best forwards out and only No-Neck available, it doesn't look too good for Man City. Still, I'm going for a score draw.

As for Chelsea vs. Spurs - 3-1.

Not necessarily .... if City lose 2-3 then we will stay above you on goals scored ... anyway very early days and we are still playing catch up from missing a game in the first week. Come on City!!

If we win and Chelsea lose ..... we could be top!!

You have to love Arry,

When asked if our away record at Chelsea affects the players....

"If you ask Wilson Palcious about the record against Chelsea - he wouldn't have a clue.......

.......if you ask Sebastien Bassong about the record against Chelsea - he wouldn't have a clue......
