Yea plus that. i saw a specific angle with the incident againts RVP and Ade was looking directly into RVP.

looked deliberate from that angle. Could of blinded RVP. his foot was a few inches away from his eye.

Arsenal had a lot of possession and control and really troubled there defence, similar to how arsenal played against united.

Technically yes, as any "club" thread gets closed instantly.

man city striker emmanuel adebayor on his goal celebration against arsenal: "to be honest, i'm very sorry for all this. Sometimes, the emotion takes over. That's what happened. I was very happy to score the goal. Before the game, people have been saying and writing things and the emotions took over. People who love me and know me know how i behave."

Anyways Toure had a good game and for me set a good example unlike Adebayor

We were getting battered! For long periods of the second half I had my hand over my face.

Your friend Joleon put in a stellar peformance keeping them at bay though.

I thought Arsenal were excellent after the first half passed with them not really having a shot of any note. I think they miss a central striker, for the others to play off, someone big and strong who scores goals.

Maybe!!

And to think we didn't start with Tevez, Robinho, Petrov and have Santa Cruz to come back from injury ..... we might need him to recover quickly with the injuries and Ade's ban to come!

Will Adebayor get a 3 match ban then?

Solid Man City performance, Bellamy showed his worth.

IMO Ireland looked out of his depth and is obviously not good enough to be part of the Man City team.

He's one of the most consistent players in the Premier League and could fit into most teams IMO.

Ireland didn't have his best game yesterday that's true but yet again we have a ridiculous opinion (and an exaggerated one) by someone who clearly hasn't watched the match ........ I don't think Hughes will take the approach that if someone has a below par performance he will be out of the team.

I think these sorts of comments clearly show the huge difference between forming opinions based on what you are shown and experiencing for yourself a real football game.

I watched the whole game online.

I've also been to 2 villa games so far this season and play football myself. Ireland looked like a headless chicken and deserved to be substituted, although i'll admit I don't regularly watch Man City games.

But perhaps bias towards your own team clouds your judgement?

Re: Man City for the league!

Ireland looked 'bad' because we were sitting deeper and not committing too many men forward because we know Arsenal are amazing on the counter.

Would have thought that was obvious to most people with football knowledge.

ah right that's OK then .....

If you play yourself and go to Villa games then you should know that making such a statement after watching 1 game online is ridiculous. Watching online or via MoTD never gives you as true a reflection of anyone's performance as being there.

It also makes me smile as on the sport forum your name regularly came up over the summer questioning how the players would gel, Mark Hughes as a manager and whether we would keep the young players ...... and yet the first sign that one of them has a bad game and you want him out

And you should also ask your favourite question about "wasn't he your player of the season last year?"

I am and was surprised how well Man City have started the season. I don't think anyone would realistically have expected your team to start so well and they deserve all the plaudits so far. The test will come if and when your team have a bad spell. Villa didn't manage to sustain our good season last time around, but perhaps you have the strength in depth to overcome that this time around.

Whatever happens I think this will be an exciting season.

Cheers fella, well said.

Yep it will be exciting and the real test is yet to come. I wish Villa all the best and wanted them to get fourth last season as they have a good crop of young, British players and you've gotta love Martin O'Neill ... and of course Richard Dunne.

We are already suffering from injuries as, of course, yesterday we were without Tevez, Robinho, Santa Cruz and Vincent Kompany. Its a good job that Hughes got the players he did over the summer as next week we face a tough enough task at Old Trafford without those players and probably Adebayor too given that the FA are looking into the incidents yesterday.

All the best.

Adebayor should be banned for 3 games for violent conduct.

Apart from that; played City.

I think that's bound to happen and with United coming up next week.

Watched the highlights on Sky Match choice last night and it reminded me what a humdinger it was. Arsenal saw a lot of the ball and we looked very dangerous on the counter with our pace. A smashing game that unfortunately got ruined by the two main incidents.
