ESPN and the Bundesliga

hello

not sure is this the right forum to ask this but can someone tell me what Bundesliga rights do ESPN have

why I ask is their not showing the Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund match at 2.30 Saturday and theres plenty of room for the match,it's not clashing with anything that important

If it's at 14:30 they legally won't be allowed to.

The UEFA blackout bans broadcasters from showing games between 14:45-17:15 on a Saturday to protect lower league attendances. Exceptions are things like Cup Finals/Internationals etc. If you click the link below you'll see not all nations choose to have a blackout period.

ESPN's rights allow them up to 5 live games a weekend and some will be in HD but of course they can't show any games (live) during the blackout.

Re: ESPN and the Bundesliga

I've always thought when I see this ruling, How many people can get home from a 3 o'clock kick off game in time to watch a 5:30 kick off on the telly
