hello
im a downhill rider and have been doing it for more than 10 years now , all through that time Steve Peat has been an idol for me and many other downhillers of all ages , to see him win the World Champs at 35 is just brilliant , he has come so close to winning gold many times and has always had bad luck but not this time ,
watching it live on freecaster was probably the best time of my downhill ' hobby ', i and many other people would have had tears in there eyes , Peaty was in tears when he won !!! it really was a memorable moment for the sport- not just the downhill - cycling in general ,
Rob Warner's live commentary was just superb , he has been there and done it so he knows exactly what to expect from the riders in terms of skill , pressure and preperation ,
ive met Steve Peat on various occasions including twice at Fort William and training at his track at Wharncliffe in Sheffield and has always been polite to me and all his fans , he really is an ambassader for the sport ,
this really was a momentous occasion in downhill racing and at the age of 35 and winning gold he probably has another 5 years at the top ,
STEVE PEAT - i salute you ......
