Unhappy Will Saints go Bust?

Do you guys think saints will be saved or will they go Bust?

Looks like Pinnacle have been a complete waste of time and anything with Leon Crouch linked with was doomed from the start. He maybe a saints fan but he got us in to must of this mess with offering Players stupid money just to get them to play for us and very average players as well.

Will we be saved at the last minute or will this be the end?

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

Well you've got a million from us (Forest) for David McGoldrick, so that's a bit off the debt.

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

I can't believe that Le Tiss and co have pulled out because of the 10 point deduction. They knew that they would never get that overturned so I can't see why they were making that a condition of the purchase. There must be more to it than that and they're making that their excuse.

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

havent they already gone bust hence 10 point deduction. I suppose you mean completely out of business, surely their assets must be worth something.

What's the story now then? I thought that they needed a buyer by yesterday or they are gone?

Southampton Football Club is on the verge of being taken over by a member of one of Europe's biggest business dynasties, reports BBC Radio Solent.

A member of the family behind the Swiss-based Liebherr Holdings group is closing in on a purchase at St Mary's...

The administrator's deadline for the sale of the football club passed on Friday, without him carrying out a threat to wind up the club.

Looks likle it could be your Ex-Boss 'Tony Adams'....please NO!

I take it he wasn't overly popular at Fratton Park? We loved him when he was at Pompey, but purely because he was going to bring you closer to playing Saints again! Obviously the new owner misunderstood the love!

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

Thankfully it's all sorted now, and we can look forward to actually playing some football now....

I'm just happy it wasn't Adams!

Pardew has a good record at our level with Reading, and also took West Ham to the Premier League and FA Cup Final!

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

I think Pardew is a decent choice and will play good football too. I suppose Strachan was many fans' choice but it was not to be.

Good luck next season!

You are probably trying not to get overly excited, but from a neutrals point of view, you have one hell of a side....already!

If you can gel quickly, I think Top 4 is easily achievable! Arsenal need to watch out!

Cheers pal. As I've mentioned, one of my best mates lives in Totton and he's took me to the Dell and St Mary's a few times. He's not renewed his season ticket which I've given him grief for as I was there when we were in Division 3!

Spoke to him before and he's looking to get one for him and his son now!

I'm looking at Saints getting in top six and a play off place just as Leeds did with their 15 point deduction.

A great start getting Kelvin Davies to sign up again and although a shame to see Surman, McGoldrick, Dyer etc leaving the club I'm sure Pardew has a great line of contacts to bring some proper footballers in to get Saints out of that League.

This is the key! Because our current squad is very, very poor!

We have also lost 2 of our better players from last season (Surman, McGoldrick)

If we could keep either Rasiak or Stern John, then this would also be helpful, as I cant see where the goals are coming from right now.

I would take Mid-Table now though if offered, and then push for the Title next season!

It perplexed me that last season Stern John wasn't used more.

Re: Will Saints go Bust?

Well we did loan him to Bristol City in October, for the rest of the season. But they didn't use him much.

basically we need him off the wage bill, but that isn't the case anymore. So You never know, if he fancies a bit of Division 3 action, we could have a lethal weapon there!
