CL Final - ITV or Sky Sports?

I was just wondering which one everyone will be watching? A lot of people (myself included) now have ITV HD & Sky Sports HD, so the choice is tricky.

I think it'll be Sky Sports for me. I like the commentating more.

Let's just hope I won't spend most of the game comparing PQ between the two channels!

Re: CL Final - ITV or Sky Sports?

Sky Sports HD for me.....do have ITVHD as well, but I cannot bear listening to Clive Tyldesley and the inane comments of Andy Townsend.

PQ is fairly equal between the two - I have been very impressed with the PQ of ITVHD so far.

If I had a choice I'd watch it in Sky.

Clive Tyldesley is obviously paid by the word and never shuts up.

I'll be in the bar watching it, so whatever they decide.

Will probably not be able to hear the commentary anyway, but God ITV have the worst pundits ever.

Re: CL Final - ITV or Sky Sports?

If I was watching at home then I would have to say ITV (or ITV HD if I had it) on the basis that its best to give some support to a terrestrial (sp?) channel so that they continue to show us top notch footy for free. However I shall be propping up the bar in my local and they only show SS so its that for me.

In fairness, Andy Gray is as much of a berk as David Pleat but at least Pleaty comes up with some truly funny comments (none of which are intended) throughout the match.

Re: CL Final - ITV or Sky Sports?

Pub, Sky

When I went to the Barca v Chelski semi the place was buzzing. A great atmosphere and I lost my voice for a day after that winning goal lol. Would love to experience the same again for what will hopefully be a good game for the neutral

Staying cooped up indoors with the flatmates not really the same. Plus we would be forced to watch ITV I've seen better coverage from YouTube

David Pleat needs shooting (I do not necessarily mean that in the literal sense). Any person who makes one debate whether Jamie Redknapp is really worse must be doing something incredibly wrong

Sky sports hd for me.
The commentatory is so much better than itv's. I never used to like andy gray when he first started on sky but over the premiership years I've come to appreciate what he does a lot more.
David pleat is rubbish, speaks a load of monotone rubbish.

I blame the thought of hearing david pleat in my head as i typed for turning my brains to mush , well more than last nights beer did anyway

Here it is in 2 words

That's an interesting point. I don't know the answer but... I can't see the use of DD for football?

If I wasn't heading to the pub, then it would be RTE, IReland's braodcaster.

That way I can avoid Pleat, Tyldesley AND Keys, Redknapp and Gray.

Result.
