Mordaunt Equipment
hi guys, pretty much decided that im gonna go with a Onkyo receiver and after popping into my local richer sounds I think I may well go with some mordaunt front shorts as there called in dark wood finish aswell as the matching center speaker, I then have a few optioins of theres for the rears too eventually, is there gear pretty good? the guy at richer sounds said they where top notch and for the money ud find it hard to beat...
what do you guys thinks? good recommendation? good products?
these are the beauties in question, they look so much better in the flesh.

Re: Mordaunt Equipment
i personally have the 914i's, they are the next model up from the ones you are looking at but only have the one bass driver, they offer an amazing sound for the money, it is crisp from silent up to a reasonable level, that being the limit i listen to music at, I've posted this elsewhere on the site but i managed to get mine for £210 with 10 meters of speaker wire. So there is always room for negotiation, and again, have the option of the 902i's and 905 center i think it is. A word of warning though when choosing, make sure you are happy with the color of the speakers, and that you can get the other speakers in the same finish, I believe from experience that the black avant range can be hard to match. so I'd definitely ask first. Otherwise good choice

Re: Mordaunt Equipment
I just bought the 916i's, still running in and setting up but initial impressions are that they are great, i'm certainly happy with the purchase.
J-J Just curious but how is black hard to match?

if u take a look at the casing he is refering to the dark wood colour mate.. and yes some mordaunt equipment only comes in the lighter colours so I have to be careful.
